I finally managed to swap the cluster!! I went to another dealer and they did the job this morning. I only got charged 40 Euros for half an hour, vs first time that I went ( 90 euros and no result). Brake lights are on right now, but I will code it later this afternoon following NHN...

Hi, still no news? I´m thinking of trying on wednesday with another dealer. If so many people are able to do it in different places maybe it is the dealer that I went the only one who couldn´t manage to do it. I will let u know on wednesday if there is any luck!

Nobody can provide a detailed description on how to code the new cluster with the VAS machine yet? I am dying to install it in my car but I don´t want to lose another 100 euros if the guy in the Audi dealer doesn´t know how to do it.

I know! But these guys are smart. They don´t tell you we can do it. Instead, when I went there they were like "umm, that´s a different cluster so it might not work and we can´t guarantee it will work.." So I accepted because I knew people had done it and it did work. However, i can´t prove it´s...

Please Khufu, try to find out how your dealer gets the immob coded. I can´t wait to get mine but I just want to make sure I understand how it´s done so they don´t screw up again ( and I end up paying another 100 euros..)

Sure I will, this cluster thing is driving me nuts. I saw in a German forum a guy who managed to do it ( a 09 cluster in a 04 audi a3). He got some problems with the dieselpump, but told me i should not worry as my car was from 06. I took it to the Audi dealer and spent 90 euros for nothing...

I agree too! That was my first option. I took it to Audi and they told me they were not sure it would work. I am sure they did not use the correct procedure, I will talk to them again and see what i can do. Anyway, thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.
