Hi chaps i have an audi a8 3.0tdi v6 and am looking for the g289 sensor which is the passenger side crash sensor for the airbag, i have tried under passenger front seat/carpet and front bumper but cant find it, does anyone know where i can locate this thanks

Just to up-date this, i replaced the h/b control module and all is well, had a fault with the air flow flap in the inlet manifold aswell, vw wanted £350 plus, i removed the inlet and repaired the ball,socket/rod for free, just my labour. Customer was really pleased as i saved him a fortune

All garages are different but that is what i charge so the price might be a little different pal

I will confirm that the problem is the alternator clutch pulley, very common and very cheap to remedy, but you do need the tool if you are doing it yourself, at my garage i charge around £100 quid to replace the pulley.

Cheers murran i think mine will be the 03 one, i know these are a common problem with the electrical side failing as the mechanical side is fairly robust from what i can gather. Would it help you if i said the pump module is sat on top of the pump ? and the pump also sits in between the two...

Evening all, i am about to fit a 2nd diesel pump to a a4 v6 2.5 tdi on a 03 plate, due to it being faulty, but i am pretty certain they are coded, therfore could anyone confirm this for me and does anyone know how to re code it, i have vagcom as well if needed. Any help is appreaciated lee
