Hi guys. I'm about to replace the stock 8p speakers in my 2.0 tdi and I'm not sure what to do about the adapter installation. I bought a ct25au05 plastic speaker adapter, but it won't sit flush with the door because the mountings are slightly raised. This isn't an issue with the stock adapter...
Hi guys. I'm about to upgrade the front door speakers in my 8P. I've bought the speaker surround /adapter so I know it'll fit as expect, but I'm unsure about what to do with the wiring. I know that I could just cut the wires and crimp to a spade adapter, but I'd prefer to maintain the adapter so...
Nope, I had already removed the top trim and held it up to see the screws, but I couldn't get a torx bit in there without removing the wheel. No problem anyway, like I'll say - I'll roll the dice :thumbs up:
Hi guys. Thanks for all your replies. To answer the confusion, I did remove all lower screws, as well as the upper trim, but realised that I needed to remove these two screws too (see image), which I couldn't do without removing further parts so I just gave up.
I think my car is likely to have...
Well I attempted to pop off the lower trim to check the serial number of my steering module, but it didn't seem possible without removing the wheel (which I couldn't do because I'm lacking the tool). I do have a MFSW but I don't know exactly which stalk version to go for (B vs D vs F?!) . Does...
Hi guys. I'm interested in doing this on my 2012 tdi sportback. I was going to just buy the "F" stalk and just hope that it works, or should I wait and get it scanned to see what steering ecu I have?
The only hard bit was getting the cable through the tubing that connects the body to the boot. Once it was through that we took off the rear plastic liner across the back of the rear screen and then gently lifted the lining away from the edge and pushed it through and down the A pillar (without...
Hi Stephen.
So you're suggesting that it was completely fixed by changing the battery? I'm facing exactly the same issue but my battery is relatively new...
I think you're right! I had another play around with it all today and I'm able to reproduce it and isolate it! It only starts as soon as I turn the aircon on (but continues even after I turn it off). If I set the heat to come through the top or bottom vents then the clicking stops, so it must be...
Hmm. I've just Google videos of that type of failure and although the clicking noise is pretty much identical, it only tends to do it every 5 seconds or so, rather than the constant clicking in those videos. It also happens with the aircon system turned off...
Hi guys.
On my way home last night I noticed an annoying clicking sound that seemed to be happening every couple of seconds, regardless of speed. I parked up and recorded this video, which briefly captured the noise :
I'm guessing it's some kind of relay? It feels like it's coming from...
This unit plugs into the back of the audi factory headunit to allow you to play music over Bluetooth. It plugs straight into the aux socket on the factory headunit. I had it connected to my Concert 2 unit and it streamed music via Spotify perfectly, but I've just replaced the entire headunit so...
Hi George. This is true. My a3 already had factory fitted Bluetooth but that only works for calls, so that device allowed me to have both. As far as I'm aware, I think you're probably looking at a full headunit replacement to get both.
Hi George. Check out the Bluetooth streaming unit I have for sale in the classifieds. It does have the "track xx" limitation, but it works perfectly for spotify, etc, and it's cheap as chips!
