Wow... Sounds like a lot of fiddling.
To confirm all I wanted to do was fit the headunit (not the bluetooth or sat nav) but it all sounds a little complicated haha
Really pleased youre enjoying the headunit though - Nice to hear!!
Wow, im planning on doing almost exactly this, except my Chorus is a double din unit.
Same Alpine etc though.
How hard was fitting? Not had a go at it before and feeling a little nervous...
And how are you getting on with the new unit?
Anyone any good with headunits? And fitted one to an A3?
I can save over £100 by buying everything online but am worried about tackling it all myself - Anyone in the Southampton/South Coast area fitted their own etc and fancy giving mine a go for £20?
Hi guys
As per above, im swapping my Chorus head-unit to a Alpine iDA-X305.
Can anyone confirm what wiring harness I need?
I have front speakers, but no rears and no sub (confirmed by Audi - Its a limited edition [S trim equivalent])
Is it a PC9-404...
Ahhh nice one! Cheers mate!
As I said, ive got a spare one ready to attack with a blade... mwahahaha!
IF I can get it to work, it should be a tidy little spot to leave it.
Hahaha its ok, im not precious about cars - Its used to already has one or two little similar bits here and there. And ive already bought another tray to mod ready for the iPod anyway :)
It seems to sit fine the in tray - Cant see what the issue is... It goes in fine all the way, until you...
OK, so heres the tray closed as normal
And open
iPod Classic in the tray
Closing ok...
Stuck!
So need to prise it out...
Any ideas? Would love to get this working - Could use a wasted space in the car and not have to put it in the glovebox
Hi guys
First post here, so wanted to say hello.
Im fitting an Alpine IDA X305 in a week or two and wanted to store the iPod in the card tray. Ive got a old black 80GB which is too tall, but ive also got a Classic which fits in perfectly, until you go to close the tray, when it gets stuck...
