Hi all,
Basically my centre and driver side air vents don't always blow cold air, and I've got these two codes from VAGCOM.
00601 - Potentiometer On Positioning Motor for Central Flap (G112)
30-10 - Open or Short to Plus - Intermittent
01842 - Potentiometer/Actuator for...
Hi all,
My battery is near the end of its life, and needs replacing.
However, looking online I found many different battery fitments/sizes listed for the B6 Cab, but mainly 096 and 110. So does anyone know which one is the proper size? Or does it not matter much at all?
This is a 3.0...
Hi all,
Basically I was arguing with a colleague earlier today, on whether the S5 and A5 S-Line have wide arches.
I said no, only the RS5 has.
He said yes, the S5 and A5 S-Line have the same arches as the RS5.
We weren't able to get a confirmation from Google. So can you guys settle...
Actually I do have another problem!
While I had the boot open, I was trying to replace the rear lights with the B7 ones. However, on of LHS one, the bolt could not be undone - it just spins itself :(
Now what's the best way to undo this bolt please? The other side is okay.
Thanks.
Just an update.
Managed to open the boot, by manually raising the roof half way through (to get the deck open), and then poking the lock from the inside using an umbrella to unlock it.
Turns out the piece of plastic that links the unlocking mechanism to the lock itself is broken. Luckily I...
Yes I have tried both horizontal and vertical. I think the catch itself is broken.
When I turn the key, nothing happens and there is no resistance.
What I was saying is, maybe when the roof is half-open and the "deck" is lifted up, there might be enough space to access the boot catch...
Hi all,
Basically I couple of days ago I noticed that the boot on my A4 B6 cabriolet was behaving strangely. The electrics wouldn't unlock/open it and it needed more force than usual to open with the key. So I thought, ah I'll have a look on Sunday then, probably just needed some WD40.
So...
Hi all,
Basically a couple of days ago I was opening the roof, and then I suddenly remembered I forgot to bring my phone, so instinctively I switched off the engine. It is at that moment I realise the roof was still opening! I was miles away obviously... To cut it short, the roof then stopped...
Thanks for the replies.
Had a quick look yesterday while the driver side door card was off, but couldn't see any split in the wires. Will have a proper good look and test with a multimeter in the weekend.
I don't understand though - why would a split wire in the door has something to do with...
Hi all,
Does anyone know why this is? Basically I need to sync my keyfob, by pressing lock and unlock while ignition is on, once every few days, otherwise it would stop working. The battery is only a month or two old. This is really puzzling! Any ideas please?
Thanks.
Tried to remove the ECU cover, but the wiper arm wouldn't move at all.
However I found a spare grommet between the battery and the pollen filter :D
So happy days. Just need to get myself a fishing rod now.
Tapped RCA and remote wires to the RNS-E, but yes the rear is a bitch.
Still trying to...
Had a quick look today after washing the car.
I can see why it is not necessary to disconnect the battery when attaching a new wire now, after looking at the connector.
The ECU is the black box on the driver side next to the brake reservoir isn't it?
I couldn't get to one of the screws so I...
Thanks! Guessing from what you said, the ECU is close to the battery, probably under the wiper cover, right?
And don't I need to disconnect the +ve temporarily to connect the new +ve wire?
Don't know what the Audi battery connector looks like, but on my old cars I had to do that.
Basically...
