lol, on top of the battery on that little bar with the electrical connections on is the main live for the fuel pump.. take the 10mm bolt off and put a rubber washer underneath. don't ask how i know but it works a treat :)
if its any help, the drive shaft sits towards the front of the hoop, where its attaches to the drop link (so i would need to lengthen the drop link?) its 100% better to drive tho! i'll admit that, just the odd grinding noise and clang as the 2 come together is really annoying!
Well after receiving the ARB's on Monday, i fitted them Tuesday morning, took about 2 hours and the car does handle much better, 100% more positive but it does still ocasionally rub the drive shaft. I know its low... do you think adjustable drop links would work now considering there is much...
OK...... Just recieved this message..
Eibach have just informed us that they've now stopped doing the 22mm front bar for the Golf 4 and now only do the 25mm front, would you like us to send you this out instead?
Sorry for any inconvenience.
Kind regards,
Damian Moore
DPM...
Ok i've just ordered the 22mm/25mm Eibach ARB's on your recomendation :) hopefully they will solve the problem. I know my car is low but its getting really annnoying listning to the grinding noises!
Will these stop my ARB rubbing on my driveshaft or do i need to get adjustable drop links aswel?

Any help would be apreciated as its driving me insain now!
EDIT: Audi a3 1.8T
I run the Bailey dv on mine and it does have a nice sound. Nice and loud with a bar of boost as well. Easy to fit 2. i only got it for the sound it makes to be honest. no particular gains that i can feel anyway.
What i will say is that a mate brought an unbranded dv for his LCR and it made it...
ok cool, last thing, If i order the whiteline ARB from DPM can i only change the front for the time being? OR do i have to change the rear as well?
And where is this power steering pipe? the noise does not sound good :(
Nobody?
I don't want to waste money on adjustable drop links if there not going to work and for the next couple of months i cant afford new ARB's so i need something to get me outta trouble for a bit, I know i could just raise the car up but..that's not the way its done :)
When i turn full lock to the right, i can hear the ARB on the driveshaft, not too much of a problem right now but, when i turn to the left, i also get a similar sound except its higher pitched and louder, i happens when cornering normally but not on full lock.
My first thought was worn bushes...
Its easy, if you have coil overs fitted to the rear, just take the spring out, remove the adjustment collar off of the bottom mount the replace the spring. 20mm Lower perfect ride height.
