Haven't taken many, but this is it in a nutshell...

    The S4 has gone

Very nice! I admit that if I didn't have two kids to get in and out of the back all the time I'd have been tempted by a M2C! My S4 went back this morning and I have replaced with an A35. Enjoy the car, looks lovely!

Have you heard the S4/S5 rumour...

So from what I can see the only free colour is now white? Not even a flat black? And the interior options are black or grey, no red? Entry area lights are now seemingly £115 option? Fair play that the standard wheels look better than the ones I had on mine, but those are surprising changes to...

Cat amongst pigeons: https://www.press.bmwgroup.com/united-kingdom/article/detail/T0297033EN_GB/the-new-bmw-3-series-touring M340i launched with inline 6 petrol, 374bhp, 500Nm torque, 4.5s to 62mph. Orders from around now, deliveries begin end September...

Have you heard the S4/S5 rumour...

I think they've tried to stick to a 6cy for the S4/5 rather than drop to a four-pot hybrid. What I sense they are trying to do is differentiate between models as they add more and more of them. Plus the reality is that anything bigger than a four-pot is going to be short lived with the...

    New MY2020 Facelift...

You know what? I've been frustrated at the change to Diesel for the S4, and not bowled over by the facelift, but if they chuck huge amounts of cash support into some lease deals I could see myself signing up for a TDI S4. But I'm talking monthlies lower than I'm running at now (£399 for 3+23)...

Have you heard the S4/S5 rumour...

Unless Audi want to sell it to me, I don't have the option. It's PCH leased, so no ownership plan in place.

Have you heard the S4/S5 rumour...

My personal preferences will no doubt mean I don't follow up my current S4 with another, or an S5. I'm leased, so I might run an informal 3 month extension to take me to mid-Jan, but then the Audi S dream will be over. Onwards and upwards! Time to get the man maths calculator running for a shot...

looking for someone to take over my S4 saloon lease at £404 per month inc vat

Plus you can't get the S4 new right now, and when you can it'll no doubt come with a Diesel engine. So someone, somewhere, might want to dabble in this. But the BIK is a PITA

looking for someone to take over my S4 saloon lease at £404 per month inc vat

No doubt, but not at a 3+23 deal or that'd make it £7.3k for 24 months and ~20k miles. This, like mine, was a 3+23 deal and therefore the monthlies are higher due to less upfront. The killer here is the stipulation from VWFS for it to go to a limited company and therefore the BIK impact. Outside...

looking for someone to take over my S4 saloon lease at £404 per month inc vat

I could be wrong but the only reason this is a 'business lease' is because VWFS want a company to support the risk inherent in switching leasers during the contract. My understanding is that this is a personal lease that now must become a business lease due to VWFS policy

A very frustrating car to own

I think there's a big chunk of 'grass is greener' for a lot of us. I was BMW for a 330d SE saloon, then a 335d X-Drive M-Sport Plus GT, then into a B9 S4. The B9 S4 wins hands-down for enjoyment factor, but for me the feel and noise of a powerful petrol is a big part of that enjoyment. I do also...

    M140i vs S4

I'm pretty sure in the latest issue of evo there is a page with the headline being M3/4 going AWD. Will be switchable, much like the M5 is today. I'd expect the M340i to be AWD with no switchability much like the S4, and also gives another differentiator for the step into the proper M cars.

    Gearbox Lag S4 B9 occasionally?

Mine is a bit more grumbly than usual right now too. I think it's a normal characteristic of the gearbox, but I'd say best to get it checked out and use the warranty if you really think there's something up

Have you heard the S4/S5 rumour...

Everyone is getting caught up on numbers. I had a 335d, with 309bhp and 465lb ft. Yes it was quick, but it was soul-less. It wasn't a horrenous noise or anything but its quite muted, the revs don't rise and fall freely because of how much metal a Diesel engine is shifting around, all the power...

    Servicing S4 B9

I know everyone must be waiting and desperate for my latest update. So here it is; Lots of calling around. Initial quotes from Camberley, Guildford, Basingstoke all at £337. All offered immediate 10% price down to £303 when asked. Slough & Reading are more expensive at £357, and again would do...

S4 going in for first (oil) service @9.5k miles

Can I ask what price you've got? Mine is counting down for this too, been calling around but wanted to check where you're at. I've put an update post in another thread just recently. Cheers!

    Servicing S4 B9

Yeah that's the team I called and spoke to. No matter. I will continue calling some garages further away and ask about the service plan at the same time! Thank you very much for trying everything for me - something must be possible somewhere

    Servicing S4 B9

Sorry - this is turning something simple into a ****** saga! :) But called Audi UK. After much 'just going to place you on hold...' they come back and say 'call your local dealership for more information' (!!) HA ****** HA. So back at square one, and when I ask the dealers what do they tell me -...

    Servicing S4 B9

I have done. Entered multiple mileages and none would let me pass... Good thinking, but I've hit a dead end here too. Maybe because yours is PCP/ owned outright? And mine only on PCH? Thanks for thinking it through
