    Spanner Monkeys!

I took my A3 to my local dealer for it's first oil change 9K miles in about 20 Months, thought I may as well have the brake fluid changed at the same time, all covered by the Audi service plan I took out when purchased. Now the brakes are terrible, I have to push the peddle half way down to...

    Alternative to Claying

Get the megs quick clay kit, I hadn't used clay before so, like you I was a bit aprehensive. It's a nice mild clay ideal for beginners, and a quick tip - do your windows first to get used to the feel of it and how much lube you need, you won't damage your windows and you will be amazed at the...

A3 Interior Bulbs - LED Upgrade

wouldn't bother, I tried LED bulbs, they just don't work quite right, they tend to glow when they are supposed to be off! Very distracting at night. Before you splash the cash I have a couple of the festoon bulbs you are welcome to try, pm if interested. Andy

Help with door warning light mod

Hi, I used erwin, it's like elsawin but online. You need to register and pay. The good thing about it is you can browse the contents (index) for free then decide if you want to stump up the cash. It cost's 4 euros for an hour browsing, no printing, but if you hit printscreen and paste...

    What Cable?

Ah well, I will keep my eye out for a second hand micro-can (genuine of course!) I am right in thinking these only work with the Golf mk5 chassis based cars and nothing else? Andy

    What Cable?

Bruce, whoa hold the phone there! What I want, if such a thing is possible, is a CAN compatible lead that will work with a $99 licensed version of VAG-COM, I am very happy to pay this! After all the cheapest option to me is a Micro-CAN version at $250, I cannot justify this just to turn a...

Thanks, coo that's a bit expensive just to turn a few lights on! Maybe I can wait for the Chinese to produce something CAN compatible.

    Concerned about my brakes!

I never noticed the ESP light, usually happens too quickly. Of course it could be the EDL kicking in, would feel the same as ABS because it would apply the brake to the spinning wheel.

    Concerned about my brakes!

I get the same thing, potholes are the worst! Also happens on bumps though not so much. I think it's just the abs sensing that the wheel has stopped rotating giving you a quick thud through the pedal as it tries to compensate. Happens on my current 08 plate and my 04 before that.
