had the same on mine - certain it'll be the rear axel bushes that have detoriorated which causes the knocking you hear over bumps. bought new ones on ebay for 6 quid each. local garge relaced them for £75- audi quoted £240 for bushes and labour!! my audi now feels like a new car hope this helps
