Hi Ash, i really appreciate it that your actually helping and want to, however, the distance is just too far to justify the cost of fuel and parts as well as requiring a whole day with the driving and isntallation.
Hi 93T, i think you might be talking about a guy called Tom. I have spoken to him and he said he wont be coding them in and will be using resistors or something. I have also read in other threads that using them can sometimes lead to failure of the lights so ideally id want the coded.

on the audi a5, you have the 'inner' lights which are on the boot lid, and then the 'outer' lights which is the main unit which has the indicator on which are the first pics i posted.
nice one buddy, ill take a pic of the outers now. I think when i was referring to the outers, i meant the larger lamp thats on the wing not the boot. But in any case i will now upload pics of the bootlid parts of the rear lights. Do you think its something where id have to solder and make wiring...
The lights came off the same car as mine, the difference being the rear lights are led, the engine size 2.t is the same as well as the year. the current lights on my car are your stand 2009 halogen ones.
thanks for the repy. Im really bad at this sort of stuff, and i believe i require a new loom as well as coding, and top it all off i dont have VCDS to code them in even if i did manage to buy the looms somewhere. I have rang nearly every audi specialist and they all talk nonsense and are asking...
