As an underwtriter lol it is to make the groupings more accurate, as noted above Group 20 was the highest and could cover anything from a M3 to a Veyron, SLR etc not exactly as accurate in terms of risk :noway:

In my experience (and I am an insurance underwriter) Your policy/insurer will only cover named drivers on the policy unless you change it to any driver if they offer that cover. If someone else has a comprehensive policy and is over 25 their insurance company MAY allow them to drive other cars...

Add a second driver like you did wkith your mum. Preferably a Female over 25 and this should drop it with some companies.

Forge 007p with an open cone filter shuold be loud enough if you dont want anything OTT. I had one on the Cupra and it was fine. Another one that alot of SEAT guy's use in the Turbosmart dual port - it is meant to be good, a bit louder than the 007p if thats what you are looking for. They are...

My Ibiza Cupra was insured with Admiral and they gave me cover for my modifications as I had paid the extra premium for them. Even got a nice booklet explaining all the cover. I think most companies will now a days - I even got my mods covered by Aviva (prev Norwich Union) and they never used...
