Blank the EGR valve. Ebay 'EGR blanking plate Audi A4' and tick the box including the description for search purposes. You should find them.
You will need to remove the EGR function from the ECU by remapping the vehicle. R-Tech charge £40 iirc.
Delete it. I got R-Tech to tweek my existing AMD remap (it was too torquey and not linear power) and also R-Tech removed my EGR function as i had fitted blanking plates in. Its better for the engine, even if you dont have any existing EGR problems because no more recirculated gases will be...
Join a vauxhall or ingisnia forum first and ask about the car your planning on buying. What engine/year to avoid, what to look out for etc. Read up on honestjohn/pistonheads for some information. I know the Euro 4 1.9 CTDI engines had a endless amount of problems with egr valves, dual mass...
*Flame suit on*
I did all the windows on my Avant for a discount price of £150 rather than the usual £200 because i was a previous customer. Life time guarantee/warranty against any pealing or discolouration etc.
If i was to have just the B pillar back done it would have been £150 for a new...
I find many people exaggerate their claims of super high mpg. I tend to get around 30mpg around London town, rain or shine. On a long run its 40mpg. I believe my slightly low mpg is due to a boost leak around my intercooler.
Did you have an argument with the fox or go to ****** war with it?
Bad luck mate. I feel for you. No matter what you do, you can never prevent such an accident. I do hope the fox came off worse! Some nasty damage there and the respray jobs were really badly done twice. Glad you didn't just...
Check for boost leaks
Cover up your radiator using cardboard or something similar like all the black cabs do! It'll keep your car warmer in this weather and you'll benefit from slightly better mpg.
Dont use your heating to warm up the car until at least the coolant needle is bang in the...
Hi.
I prefer to get the regular oil myself, since i change oil every 10k (fixed intervals) but if you wanted to service according to the DIS and prefer cheaper servicing, then longlife oil is meant for up to 20k services if i recall correctly. I'm not keen on the idea of the same oil degrading...
The UKMKIV forum boys sure know their stuff about upgrading/uprating the 1.9 engines featured in the A4/A3/Golfs etc. I shouldn't really do this, but i'd suggest signing up there too and ask.
I do believe you may be able to get a 130 turbo on yours and also 130/pd150 injectors on yours which...
I believe the 2.0TFSI engines have an electric oil pump that continues to work after the car is switched off, so a turbo timer is not neccessary. Also unless you rag the nuts of it all the time and can't be bothered to simply drive conservative for the last mile home or let it idle for a minute...
Hi JoJo.
Correct me if i'm wrong but the oil pump and balance shaft failure is only related to 2005 model A4 B7's and a handful of early 2006 model A4's. The oil pump was then revised and was later gear driven rather than chain driven. The culprit engine codes are BLB and a few BRE i believe...
Hi and welcome to the forum.
I don't mean to put you down in any way possible, but is it really worth modifying a 1.9 115bhp lump except for the remap you've already got? Any more noticeable power out of the engine will cost a LOT of money and you'll never get that back. I would personally...
Hi,
I'm more than happy to help. After all thats the whole point of forums like this.
Heres a link to the EGR blanking plates you asked for: EGR blanking plate 3mm Steel VW SEAT SKODA AUDI T3 T4 T5 R6 Transporter 2off | eBay
