Audi A2 fault code - 00588 - Drivers Airbag Igniter

00588 - Ross-Tech Wiki The fault logged, is saying the Airbag Igniter (N95) on driver's side resistance is too high. Would I be right in thinking this is probably down to faulty wiring, if not the igniter itself has broken. How easy is the task in hand to get to the igniter? Where...

    Thermostat location AGU

Just fitted a new thermostat on mind tonight in about 40mins. Yes the bottom bolt is a pain, but best way is to use allen keys. You'll need one short one and one long reach one with the ball on the end of it. Short one to crack the seal then start using the ball end of the long reach one. When...

VCDS logging suggestions on what to log.

Keep the up the work mate, you'll get to it eventually. Just recently I think i've got a leak somewhere, so been following your thread. Mine sounds like it's coming from driver side, had a similar sound before Xmas and it was a split hose from the charge pipe to the N75. Everything seems fine...

    Just cleaned fuel injectors *wow*

Just done this tonight too, did it exactly as Dave has with a ultrasonic cleaner from Maplin's. A fair amount of dirt has come out of them all. I'm sure it will help mpg, but how noticable i'm unsure?

    changing brakes

Haynes manual, for A3. Alot of it is relevant for the S3 just not all. Pretty simple job. Take your time with it all and check you have everything. Bleeding your brakes, you need to bleen master cylinder, two bleed nipples. You will need to loosen the charge pipe to get access. Best buying a...

    Career advice

I did a course at college after school to hopefully direct me into joining a public service, mainly the Police. After months of hearing nothing I too started to wonder what I was going to do. I then started to think of apprenticeships, knowing I wouldn't like a office job and sooner be out and...

    PAT(Portable Appliance Testing) testing.

PAT testing isn't required by the law, it's just for company policies and insurance. A meter and the City & Guilds course to do it yourself would cost around £500, otherwise it's usually around £3-£5 a item to get a tester in. Anything that plugs into a socket is a Portable Appliance.
