A4 2008 2.0TDi Cab
Over the past month or so as the weather has been a little warmer I've noticed that turning the ignition key to the first position is getting quite difficult. First thing in the morning when the interior of the car is cold the key turns fine.
The problem seems to be...
Just been out to check mine and I have a round cover with a picture of a lock on it and a small horizontal hole big enough to fit the ignition key through.
My alarm activated again today so I'll phone Audi tomorrow. When I reported the issue last time they indicated the G303 internal monitor may need replacing. What is this and is it a big job to change?
My 2008 A4 Cab 2.0TDI (140BHP) S-Line since April 2010 is averaging 40.59 this ranges from 32.49 during the January cold spell to 48.83 last June. My daily drive is about 3 miles each way to work and mainly town driving. As expected the higher MPG runs have been on longer journeys.
(worst app...
Please let me know if they find anything.
I forgot to mention the last time it did it, it was cold (but not as cold as the recent weather) and raining. Maybe it coincides with weather that cause the windows to mist up?!! It's the only common factor I can think of.
Mine does the same usually when it cold outside, its as if the car is cooling down after having the heating on and when I switch off the change in internal temp sets just the hazzards off. Its done it maybe three or fours time in the past 12 months (that I'm aware of) and I'm not aware of either...
I don't post often and when I do I make a kn*b of myself!!
Reading some more yesterday then went back to the car to find only the drivers side has the wire from the seat buckle so I presume the passenger seat doesn't even have a sensor, so no idea what I was thinking!!!!
Sorry for time wasting.
Noticed the other day my passenger seat belt warning has stopped working, no chime and no dash light. I've found an A3 thread stating this will not effect the airbags etc so thats one less worry. It has worked in the passed usually noticed when bringing the beer home.
Question therefore is...
Someone posted 8E08575735D and 8E0857536E when I asked the question last year, but dont know if they are correct or not. I believe I paid about £60 for both.
Life can be good, sun out, roof down, heater up and tunes playing. Why can't everyday be like this?
Found out afterwards that the location is the local dogging spot (should of stayed longer!!) but loved the last few rays of the year.
Apologies if this has been asked before but for someone who only does around 8~9k per year what is the best way to get a 2.0TDi car serviced (variable or fixed)? Does any one of the schedules offer better value for money or indeed better protection for the car than the other?
