I sat in the car yesterday, messing about the drivers seat and I think Ive found the problem. When the seat is just far enough back for the clutch pedal it is too close for the accelerator so my foot is bent upwards and this is hurting the muscle at the front of my right leg. I will carry on...

ScoTTy - that's actual brimming to brimming - filled up before we left from Leeds and then on leaving St Andrews. The 50mph restrictions along the A1 certainly helped, lol!!

Yep - one week old and I've just clobbered an alloy! I've been so pre-occupied with getting the seat comfortable that I mis-judged a turn and now I'm gutted. A wheel refurbisher mate of mine will p*ss himself laughing when I turn up tomorrow.:scared2:

I can only comment having just sold an auto Freelander 2 diesel. The power delivery you describe is exactly the same as the FL - basically all or nothing. I assume this is a combination of the turbo lag as you describe and the very narrow rev range available. My new A4 tfsi quattro solved the...
