Thanks for the reply
Yeah, brembo are king, but they come in at closer to 4K and thats just the fronts! :| For now discs and pads will probably be my best bet. I will go for a set of the ferodo's as ive seen a few other people enjoying there stopping capabilities and just wait and see what unit...
Morning all!
I have a 2004 RS6 C5, the front brake pad indicator has come on and tbh the discs look pretty shot! Now i've been having a browse an considering the car is not stock (will update my signature asap!) i was thinking about upgrading the brakes. There are a few options, Brembo...
I just fitted some 19's to mine and the acceleration has suffered a tiny but coupled with the coilover drop it just looks lovely! So i dont mind really.
i do have pictures but i dont know how to show them?!
i paid £400 but they were second hand and £200 fitted, they certainly make the car feel more solid but the rear suspension is very hard, but im not gunna complain considering they are bilsteins and retail at just ove 1K
yeah thats what i was thinkin, its not a thick smoke at all, would be intrested to see what power you get because my car has got exactly the same mods.
is that woth regards to the smoke or noise?
i wouldnt say the noise would be a problem however im not sure about the smoke side of it tbh, my MOT isnt due until 2011 so who knows what kind of new legislations will be in place then :/
i havnt taken any as yet but this is a 140 with the same exhaust

and with regards to power gains i was told it would be anywhere between 220 and 240bhp and about 310 - 340 ft/lbs of torque compared to the 250ft/lbs standard i reckon with the filter...
Ive got this done on my car, and it does smoke but only when you hammer it higher up the rev range (3000 onwards) but its not an offensive amount just a light haze. The transformation is worth it tho!
I had a bike and loved it for every minute until a foreign lorry driver pulled into my path, which resulted in me loosing my leg below the knee :/ (just to clarify this wasnt my fault :p)
However dont let this put you off coz it was just just bad luck really, i cant wait to get the movement...
i had one of these fitted last weekend courtesy of andymac and i am so impressed with it, the bose stereo now sounds so much better because you dont need to turn the bass up to acheive great bass thus giving the mid range speakers the chance to do what they were designed to do. It sounds...
i havnt had it dynoed but they reckon anywhere between 220 and 240 bhp and 370+nm of torque! i had the dpf delete pipe and custom code map done for 800 quid all in at JBS and the cat back milltek was 390 fitted and VAGtech (little more local to me than chesterfield) so 1200 basically some may...
ive got the dpf delete pipe and and a custom code remap, running on a dsg gear box, havnt had any problems or dash lights comin on. the car pulls like a train now sounds great with the full milltek too :D
the 170 has a dpf filter in the downpipe which catches the soot so the exhaust doesnt smoke basically, it is different to the 140 which doesnt have one. i was told it would only work when mated with the dpf bypass http://www.millteksport.com/media.file.cfm?fileid=555 i paid 800 quid for the pipe...
