To fit 2000 model S3
I need the part number for a rear bush, which a mechanic has called a rose joint bush!
GSF have no idea what i am talking about, and said they do not list anything like i am describing.
Audi main dealer said take a picture and bring it in to help them identify the...
I can confirm the inlet and outlet pipe for the master cylinder are on the bulk head under the bonnet, and it is a real bitch to get to.
I did mine at the weekend, and the key is to remove as much as possible to give you as much room as possible. Start it really early, as if your anything like...
Problem solved and fixed.
It turned out to be my Clutch Master cylinder..
£59 from GSF, and 6 hours of my labour to replace it.
Found when i was taking the old one off, the clutch pedal had broken at some point and been repaired. It seems that the rod had also been damaged (bent), but they...
Master cylinder is inside the car under the clutch pedal, but you will need to get to the bulk head under the bonnet to release the inlet and outlet for the clutch fluid.
If i'm wrong! i'm sure someone will put me right..
Its always worth trying to bleed first, that does'nt cost you anything.
I am in desperate need of a work shop manual, and no matter what search engine i use i can only find basic maintenance manuals.
Can anyone help me with a link to one?
Its all about keeping the car maintained, i also bought a neglected S3 and spent about £800 on it in the last 10 months. Apart from a clutch issue (being sorted out this week), i can honestly say i now have a great car i will not be parting with for a very long while.
I looked at buying a TT...
Mine has done this twice, touch wood it has'nt done it anymore in the last 6 months.
However my clutch is getting closer and closer to the floor. I have'nt identified the problem yet, but i am having a good look at it tomorrow, so i will let you know of my findings.
Right! Car this morning would not go into gear!!!!!! When you put your foot flat to the floor it engages just before the pedal touches the floor, but not enough to open up the clutch to engage it in gear.
Also the squeaking is annoying loud, and deffinatly comes from under the clutch pedal...
If you pump the pedal it makes no difference, there is still no resistance until it gets half way down.
What is the plunger type thing under the clutch pedal?
I bled the clutch system, as i was told that could of been the reason why my clutch was so heavy, Oh! i forgot to mention that..
The clutch works fine, it just has to be touching the floor before you can change gear, this makes it very hard to go through the gears quickly if you know what i...
Yes i am bud! Guys from work said i will be gutted when i have to take the brand new loan car back, quite the opposite, could'nt wait to get back in the S3.
As promised, took some pictures when i got my car back. Very impressed with the standard of work.

I have a problem with my clutch, but i am not sure which part i need!!
The clutch pedal has to be touching the floor before it engages, not only that the pedal travels half it's distance before you feel any resistance.
The clutch lever also has an annoying squeak, which is getting worse...
I had the same problem. I found my keys were to thin, so bent when i pushed them in. Bought some more from ebay and after a bit of fiddling for 15 minutes it came out.
