OK. I've found further info on RS6.com that claims A6 rear bar is 18mm, RS6 is 20mm and that they are interchangeable.

Any news on this? I have a 2.7t A6 and am also wondering if the RS6 rear bar would be a direct fit. Anyone know the diameter of the RS6 and S6 bar? I'm not sure what size my bar is. I'll have to crawl underneath and have a measure.

I considered an S6 Avant but was put off by the auto box and lack of tuning potential. The M5 just wasn't available as an estate. At least not in right hand drive. Basically I wanted a manual estate car with a turbo and rear/four wheel drive. I looked at the S4 Avant but it was too small and...

Hi everyone. Just bought a 2002 A6 Avant 2.7t Sport with the 6 speed box. It took a fair few months to find the 'perfect' car and when I did I had to wait 3 weeks for the dealer to fit a new ABS module. Loving it now though and looking forward to fitting a few choice upgrades.
