Hoping to come along to this and bring the RS4. Will try and make the Stirling Services before 9:30am :)
Thanks for Peter from Edinburgh Audi for telling me about it :)
I've got 19" S8/S3 alloys on my allroad and they go on no problem. They don't look too big either due to the size of the car and the large arches.
The C5 allroad has a unusual offset - its 25mm. My wheels have a 45mm offset and I had to use 20mm spacers with them to change back to 25mm...
Speak to MRC Tuning Silverstealth, they are the daddies of 2.7T tuning. Had my RS4 remapped there and they just won Gold Tuner from Audi Driver mag.
Have you had it remapped yet? Exhaust, cats and remap should see 330-340 ok. I think the auto box has a torque limit.
Will do Lee, though I'm not hopeful. I've seen the one on pistonheads looks really good.
I got long term average mpg of 23 in my RS4, so I'll be expecting high 20's from the S3 with luck. But hey I could afford 23, so I'll cope!
The S5 wheels look good but I think I prefer the S3 wheels...
Thanks for all that Ashley. Decisions, decisions!!
Not seen the new TTS wheels in a rep? Think they would suit the S3.
I'll post up some pictures when I get the car.
Alright lads. Not been on this site for yonks! Been over on rs246 as had a B5 RS4 for last 2.5 years. Anyways just sold it and bought a Dolphin Grey 08 plate S3 today from Audi Approved. Only 1600 miles so nearly new. Collect Monday.
Fancied a newer car and more mpg. A milltek and remap...
Hansen - check out B5 RS4 forum in rs246.com. It has a sticky that lists all you need to know about the wheels including some Audi documentation on the subject. The rs246 server seems to be down at the moment though.
IIRC the B6/B7 S4 front brakes are single pot calipers with about 345mm discs. They will be a huge improvement over standard and should fit your TDI fine. I fancy a set to upgrade my 1.8T, they will weigh a fair bit though. Yet to see a second hand set for sale though. Look on audiworld.com and...
Tim - I'd say the hardest part is removing the interior trim to get to the bumper fixing screws. Might be easier in the saloon - is your S4 a saloon? I will try and post a picture of the underside of the bumper if I get a chance. It's pretty obvious what needs trimmed - put the bumper back on...
I had to cut my S4 rear - but the cuts are pretty much invisible unless you lie on the ground and look up from underneath. You can just see them in this picture - and only because the end of the bumper (under the car) has a slight lip, which is now missing where the bumper needed trimmed. If you...
I have a swan neck detachable bosal one for my A4 Avant and it has an S4 rear bumper. Quality is excellent and it cost about 280 from ebay including everything you needed to fit (electrics etc).
