Whats the most reliable? Used to have a 2.0tdi before and looking to buy a 2006 avant. Was thinking of a 1.9 and remapping as lots of things seem to go wrong with 2.0's or is this just how it appears on forums?

My car seems to misfire for a couple of seconds after being started when stood overnight. Is the likely to be either temp sensor or glow plugs or something else?? Car runs fine after started and no warning lights. I disconnected sensor the other morning and it fired up no problem.

My friend is looking at 2 convertibles. One is a 2WD 3.0 petrol with 43k & the other is a 2WD 2.5TDI with 73k. Both are manual. Is there anything to look out for on either?? Not sure if I should be asking this on B6 section??

Today I went to switch off the econ switch on heater panel and it will not turn off. It will with engine off but a few seconds after I start car the econ light will come back on. Any ideas's whats wrong. I have tried turning off heaters then back on and this also does not work.

My car was fine till the other day when I filled up at local supermarket. Now car judders under heavy accelaration at around 2500 rpm and above. Car starts fine. No lights on. Car is a 55 plate with 83K.

How can you check mileage on a 55 plate A4. Its been plugged into VAG com I think its called but this only gives speedo reading in km. Is anything stored elsewhere. I was also told by Audi that these are difficults to clock and they had nothing to check.

New to Audi. Just bought a 2005 140 s line TDI. I was told it had been chipped to 170 by garage i bought it from. Is there any way I can see if it has a tuning box / resistor or re map by looking under bonnet. I beleive it has more power than 140 by the way it drives.
