Well it failed MOT on fractured rear spring - garage ordered but spring was larger than one taken out - they got part from both Europarts and GFS but both wrong size. Is there anywhere apart from Audi to get the proper springs for my car? The old one has 2 orange/brown 1 silver spots on them.
Sorry bit of update - coolant light now off even in the morning ;) guess it mixing sorted out the sensors - do they check for coolant concentration/strength? However still get a lag/limp mode - at least a minute before I get any power - is this sign HG going?
OK topped up the G12 - has gone an off pink murky colour. Still doing the cold start problem and coolant alarm in the morning only. Also temp is hovering nearer to 100 mark rather than normal 90 solid....
Cool will top up with G12 see how that goes - MOT was passed back in June so hope not- whats best way to check plugs - are these just before engine cover?
Further to my cold start problems - having to hold down accelerator whilst turning ignition I am now getting coolant warning light on dash. This is everytime in the morning but once warm is fine. ie at my favorite times of the day lunchtime and hometime ;) Have checked and coolant is kinda...
My aftermarket CAT has lasted less than 3 months - what would be possible causes for such rapid deterioration - apart from faulty part - hoping to get it exchanged under warranty - but want to know what excuses garage will come out with.....Many Thanks

You probably know about my cold start problem - I am getting rid of it as soon as weather warms up - just want cheapest fix possible - the nasty rattling is a bit of a giveaway....
That is what I was thinking but independent audi-specialist claims 2 cars this week had cat changed by kwik-fit caused engine management lights..... I smelt BS
Mine is a 2002 A3 1.8 SE (non turbo) - will yours fit? How much you looking for if it fits? PM probably be better.....
"Is there much difference between official /non audi parts? I been told that with non audi part I am likely to get engine management light coming up - is this true? Also...
Have had nasty rattling sound since the heavy snow which has been diagnosed as CAT - have been quoted £350 (Kwik Fit) to £600 (4 Rings - official audi part). Any other places recommended
