    Camouflaged Remap

Ok, I get your point. I haven't touched a car since 2012. Quite often the standard car seems a nicer drive - thus my E92 330d map didn't last despite costing me a lot from DMS. I am intrigued by how the manufacturers stop people fiddling, thus my interest as so many mapping companies...

    Camouflaged Remap

I am a nice chap as it goes, but as usual on this forum, like when I was looking to buy an RS3, I found comments bitchy. Good to see you are keeping up the good work. Maybe my post gave the impression I took the map off the day before it went - I didn't. One was mapped for all of 5 days ...

    Camouflaged Remap

I am guessing Audi uses FASTA data like BMW to detect changes from standard ? A map will show increased boost / advanced timing, etc in the FASTA data but a tuning box fools the ECU so it won't show that. I had forgotten the gearbox torque ! FASTA would show gearbox torque running a lot...

    Saloon Another one stolen

Where within South West London was it stolen ? That looks like a shopping area in Merton in the photo ??

    RS3 latest discounts

I've only had 3.1% ... which means realistically for my spec I can't afford one. If I could get 6% I could afford it !

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

Is that standard on an Audi service or just something people get done at extra cost ?

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

It was a shame as it was on paper nice. I will keep my eyes open and try another at some stage - I fancy a convertible again so may as well have one with a nice sounding engine + I have never owned an Audi :)

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

One thing I would appreciate comment on with the one I drove was it did have was wheel judder at all speeds ... the steering felt soft but was juddery under any acceleration - anyone any ideas re this ? At normal wheel balance issue speeds of 75mph it was fine - just juddered particularly...

Oh, no rattle on start up either. It was cold. Engine wise it ran well.

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

All alloys need refurbing. A dent to the r/n/s wheelarch needs sorting. The trim around the gear selector is missing. Two bit of random trim were missing or in the boot. The centre armrest was broken. The electric seat adjust switch came off in my hand. The steering wheel had significant...

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

It actually reminded me of an old Rover 827 Vitesse I had many, many years ago ... really nice engine but no more than a nice sounding cruiser.

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

Audi S4 Convertible for sale in Farnham Surrey | Hawthorns Farnham I have driven it and it is not for me. A bit too Jaguar like compared to what I am used to sadly. Nice engine but didn't feel that quick - though speedo said otherwise. Oddly the tacho said RS4 which was a bit odd ! The car...

Thanks for the comments. I may go and look at it again tomorrow ... now the door dinks have been removed by their dent man. 4 scuffed alloys still to be refurbed but it is being done.

Looking at buying S4 Convertible auto

I am looking at a 50,000 mile Audi S4 convertible auto. I owner + fash. Is there anything I should pay attention to other than the usual or common faults ? I joined this foum years ago when I was looking at an S3 but after a Golf GTi, numerous BMW's and now a 6 week old Fiesta ST (which I am...

    Edition 30 to S3

Thanks for the replies ! Just a brief update ... I did consider the S3 but ended up thinking it would be basically a 4wd version of my Edition 30 ..... and, as was mentioned - not a big enough move to satisfy the 'itch'. After driving two different Z4M's I decided to go down the convertible...

    Edition 30 to S3

I imagine a standard one is going to feel slower than my remapped Ed 30 but probably smoother as a result .... and able to get off the line somewhat better :) I had a V6 4motion Golf 9 years ago so know what the 4wd feels like - I loved it on that Golf but the engine was lacking in the power...

    Edition 30 to S3

First post so be gentle :) I currently have a remapped Golf GTi Edition 30 DSG putting out towards 300 bhp .... but after 18 months have itchy feet and am looking at a standard S3 with a "DSG" box ... Nothing wrong with the Edition 30 at all ... I just get bored ! I was also looking at a Z4M...
