From page 72 of the Owners Manual:
Resetting service indicator
The display is reset by the Audi dealer after the service has been carried out.
If the service is not performed by an Audi dealer, the display must be reset as follows:
1. Switch off ignition
2. Press button (2) and hold while...
Good choice of car
1. Facelift came in at the end of 2000 so you want to be looking for an 2000 'X' plate and onwards for the single piece headlights, updated rear lights and a updated (and in my opinion better) interior styling
2. Pretty much everything that isn't listed below but some...
Going a bit over probably isn't too much of a worry if it can't be avoided...
Your service manaul will give you a full breakdown of what is done on the first service so have a read of that
As for cost, no idea but just call up your local dealer and ask them
Did you get it serviced by an Audi Dealer? If so then take it back there and they will sort it for you...
If not then I'm sure I heard of a way on one of the forums so maybe someone can point you in the right direction....
Cheers

I didn't realise there was a particular issue with Tyresmoke.. just guessed you have a range of domains you don't want links from.... I stand (or rather si) corrected on that
I'm selling the S3 (as I've already mentioned to you John) and so decided NOT to have it chipped, although Revo would...
Are you on the overall average MPG setting on the live 'as you drive' setting?
The average on mine is currently 25.3mpg (was a bit higher but I keep letting the G/Friend drive it!) and I do mostly town driving...
Dodgy diverter valve may be a cause for low MPG... best get one ordered ASAP...
It was the reference to 'Linking to rival sites repeatedly is also seen as unacceptable.'
Hence we can't post links to Tyresmoke or other forums like that
Not entirely correct there John.... My S3 does not have the normal ECU in... I would have had to go direct to Revo and they could have done it....
But I'm selling the S3 so I didn't bother as I think it's easier to sell standard
Well if you want the best of all worlds then I'd recommend the Forge RACE Diverter Valve here:
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?cat=TUNDV&product=FMDVR
As you get a range of springs for fine tuning and some spare Diaphragms.
Now, the Piston vs. Diaphragm debate is an...
Is it just me or do the audi-sport.net guidelines seem a little unfair? I refer to the following two points:
10. Selling or Promoting of products or services (including commercial websites) is NOT ALLOWED by any company or any of there employees however related, unless the company concerned is...
Just to sort out my post again... the Forge Valve link is here:

Cheers
Jon
Personally I'd go for the Forge valve as they have been in the market the longest and really know what they are doing!
http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/products.asp?cat=TUNDV&product=FMDV007P
All the others basically copy the Forge design as they got it right the first time... the Viper...
I got a Forge valve on my S3 and it's no noiser than the OEM valve but will last a LOT longer!
JBR Performance have them on offer right now - http://www.jbrperformance.co.uk/
It does sound like your stock valve is faulty though....
Jon
I've had to edit this post as the link...
Best bet is to try some big breakers like Cleave Motor Salvage in Gloucester... they buy all the high end cars that are crashed, stolen/rec etc. and I know someone who managed to get a full leather S3 interior from there in the past....
