2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Thanks bud, yea all is well. If you have this issue, get it done asap the earlier you catch it the better. I'll ask Ian about special tools, there was nothing extra he needed that he didn't already have. I'll also ask if he's ok with me giving out his number, hope that's ok with you. I did...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

As good as can be expected, thanks for asking. Yea clutch and fly wheel. It did have a few teething problems, but it boiled down to an old fault (before I owned it). Basically one wire was not correctly connected to the engine management system and so it turned out the previous owner had had a...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Sorry I've not been here for some time, we had some bad news just before Christmas and things have been a bit down here. Well the bill ended up at 1100 excl vat, which I thought was not bad, considering what he replaced and all the work involved. The engine runs real sweet now, nothing like the...

    Clutch or gear box?!

Well I have a 2.0TDi 2005 and had my garage order me a new clutch, as I was getting the juddering at driving off. Not sure this affects the 1.9, but when the clutch was ordered, my fly wheel was flagged up as a replacement too, seems they had an issue in the 2005 models. Can't say I ever...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Not yet bud, but I did also have to replace the fly wheel. Seems it was flagged up as a replacement, when I ordered the new clutch. Early fly wheels suffered with judder, so that was another £170. :slapped: It'll be done this week, hopefully.

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Well mine has failed and by the looks of the thing, it was due to fail completely at any time. My clutch is also very worn, so I'm having the done at the same time. One thing my mate pointed out, was the timing. Seems that when they replaced the timing belt, they didn't time the engine...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Mileage is 100k. Not had any issues with the clutch tbh, just a little shudder now and then when starting off. I'm looking at replacing it, as the engine will be out so seems like the best time. If it has lots of life left on it when viewed, I'll leave it in, but if I do change it, I'll be...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Well my engines coming out tomorrow, not going to have the conversion done, as I'm selling it when it's all back together. He's going to fit a new clutch and timing belt whilst it's out. I'll let you know what the cost is at the end. First Audi, can't say it'll be my last, but I feel a little...

2.0 TDI oil pump / balance shaft failure?

Well I went down to East Grinstead on Friday, for a follow up eye appointment. I had this weird vibration occurring in a cyclical manner, so I decided to take it to my guy on Saturday to have it checked out. Goes out to start the car up Saturday morning and I hear a rattly chain noise coming...

    Punctured Fuel Pump at Shell

The irony is, if you had been using a mobile phone, he would have gone mad. But fuel spilling all over.... no problem.

    Modern warfare 2

*cough* That makes it a console port. This is how CoD4 MW was made, and that game was awesome on the PC. But you have to understand one thing, the actual code for the games is not much different between all three. The change is made at the end, to dedicate each one to it's specific destination...

    Laser Eye Surgery

I've had this done about 4 months ago, at Centre for Sight down in East Grinstead. It was the best thing I've had done, by a royal mile. I personally, didn't want to go to a high street place, I looked for the best surgeon around and found a guy call Mr Sheraz M. Daya. He was one of the...

    Modern warfare 2

This game is basically a console FPS, so if you're happy with that then great stuff. I've played the single player on PC, it was very short (did it in just over 4 hours) and tbh not any better than CoD4. The whole ski mobile and boat runs were stupid, lets face it, steering and shooting with...

Insurance repair - right to reject the work?

My wife had her car repaired at a 'recommended' repair centre, after someone in a car park hit her. They had it 16 weeks before they even started work, and she then rejected it from them 3 times, before they then refused to do any more work on it. Wrong colour coded paint, bad finish, drips...

Just Been in a car accident!

Hope you're starting to feel better bud. Seems that there are alot out there, who just don't pay attention and tend to drive right up your rear. There was an A4 in a smash near my work this morning, but looks like it went up the back of the other driver.

    NEW STYLE LED HEADLIGHTS

They seem to be the only type available atm, but I'm unsure as to how they are. I would buy a pair, if the LED line followed the bottom, instead of sweeping up in that arc.
