Given the car is about 5 years old it may be that the battery is starting to drop below the minimum acceptable level. I would check that first as it can cause all sorts of seemingly random unconnected faults. Modern car batteries do not last as long as the old lead acid ones did and the car...
If I am reading it right and the last line shows the battery voltage then it is below 12v and should be around 12.7v if the battery is in good condition. Low battery voltage can throw all sorts of random errors
Yes an SE would be softer, however it is quite possibly the tyre/wheel choice on the car. As standard the SE came with 225/55 R17 and the S-Line 245/45 R18 wheels. The 20" wheels 235/35 R20 were standard on the BE. Dropping down to the 18" combination would probably make a significant...
As it is a specific chargeable item I would expect it to be shown in the service history. Is the dealer you are asking the same one that did all the servicing on the car? If not may be worth contacting the servicing dealer. Alternatively perhaps the dealer selling the car would be willing to...
Transmission fluid is due at 38k miles or 4 years. I would have expected that to have been done at the December 2020 service at the latest. If it was done then then it would then be due again at the end of this year. Brake fluid is every 2 years so well overdue. Should also have had a diesel...
AdBlue delete (if detected) could result in an MOT failure as the emissions parts of the car are meant to be to the same spec as they left the factory and this would not be the case.
The MyAudi app for my car also states that it has the direct system, but it has the system that uses the ABS sensor to detect changes in rolling circumference and hence pressure. Seems as if the terminology may have got lost in translation. The S6 Vorsprung says it comes with Direct Tyre...
There are 2 different B&O sound systems on the A6. The first, initially offered as part of the Comfort and Sound Pack (included in Vorsprung spec) and now also part of Tech Pack or (on early cars) as standalone, is the B&O Premium Sound System, and the second which has the speakers that rise...
Simplest way to tell a region its taking place s because the engine speed at idle rises from about 800rpm to somewhere around 1000-1100rpm. When the car is turned off and the region is still happening then the cooling fan will stay on and there is often a slight burning smell around the rear of...
If late 2020 then it will be MIB-3. Easiest way to see which version you have is to look in the drivers armrest. If you have 2 USB-A sockets and an SD-Card slot then it is MIB-2 if you have 2 USB-C sockets and no SD-Card slot then it is MIB-3
I am pretty sure that the correct oil spec for all C8s is vw 508.00/509.00 and this equates to 0w20 so the dealer has been using the correct spec oil for the car.
I think, because you have tracking and location services turned off it sets your Privacy settings to minimum and therefore you get the pop up screen. Try turning them on and see what happens
What pricacy settings have you set for yourself in the car? Also are you set as the Primary user? That message suggests you are either not logged in or your privacy settings are a the minimum so you can basically not do anything
On the C7, Xenons were standard on the pre-facelift S-Line/Black Edition and optional on the SE, post face-lift the S-Line/Black Edition got LED non-matrix, with matrix an option and the SE/SE Executive got Xenon with LED as an option.
In the 2022/23 period there were all sorts of issues with...
Shop around or even try a broker. Insurance renewal premiums have jumped significantly in the past year or so and insurance companies do not care about loyalty so don't be loyal! The renewal premium on my wife's Golf went up over 50% (with Admiral) and she switched to LV for basically the same...
Wouldn't have thought so. Changes in VCDS tend to be functions that are software enable and this is a hardware feature with a physical switch. It is not like older generations of A6s (C5 if I recall), where the heated mirrors were on all the time. I had an A4 with this "feature" and it had...
Not sure which fuse it would be, sorry. One option to test where the problem is would be to remove the mirror glass (see sticky at top of this forum about replacing mirror caps to see how to do this). Then using a multimeter you could see if there is current flowing to the mirror when you...
If both are not working I would suspect either a faulty switch or fuse. If both mirror glasses have burnt out then that will be an expensive fix as you have the dimming function as well which ups the price significantly.
