In my a6 if I push the main beam lever away from me then the headlight outline symbol illuminated in the dash changes from a headlight outline to a headlight with some form of symbol inside it. I need to do this every time I start the engine if I want to activate auto dip.

It was definitely an A6 Sline ultra identical to my own other than the number plate holder area and as you say, different finish at the lower bumber. On inspection there was nothing 'home made' about it.

It would be worth confirming with the dealer but it's my view that as the wheels listed under accessories are just that, the the car will still come with factory alloys which you could either sell to help recoup the outlay or keep them to use as winter wheels.
