I suppose it depends upon the charging infrastructure around you and your driving habits. If you can park up your driveway and don't do long journeys then full electric, else go for hybrid.

My wife has a 2018 Q2 1.0 TFSi owned from new, she has put about about 11k miles on it. It hasn't missed a beat and has been a great buy. She got an email from Audi a few days ago, saying her cam belt is due to be changed. Might be worth checking if that has been done.
I've had two cars with this feature (A6/Q8) and neither of their manuals mention the ability to do this.
If he's the only driver of the vehicle, maybe set seat memory 2 to the seat position he needs for entry/exit? He could then change the position back to 1 for driving. It's less than ideal...
