My S3's gone in today to have everything done, gone with the first guys that had a look at it, explained what had happened, but they where ok about it and glad i took it back to them and told me not to worry, they will make sure all is good with it, before they call me to collect it, they are...

Just would like to know if the timing chain tensioner, is transferable between these engines, have an AUQ engine with bottom end seized, due to large hole in sump, loss of oil, inspected top end and all looks brand new only done 24k, mine is noisey on start up and when changing gear when pushing...

I was told that once old rail comes out, new one's have to be put in place, for it's not that easy fetching them out and basically they bend and if you do manage to use the old ones, never sit right in groove.

What would the consequence be, if you just had old roof rails taken out and filled, leaving you with a smooth roof :think:

Thanks for the replies, have got a set of S3 clocks secondhand, but mileage is unknown, if i did plug them in, would it tell me the mileage and show me the display on middle pod, so i can see if it's better than mine, thanks

Would just like to know, if you could replace centre pod in clock cluster, from another set of clocks, avoiding having it coded, mine is quite bad, untill it warms up, what actually causes this, is it the ribbon ? can you just replace that ? or is there no other way apart from replacing or...
