The Mobil 1 oil i used was called "Mobil 1 Super S - Semi Synthetic" therefore it is not fully synthetic, is it still not good to use this oil then?

Hi All, I have had my S3 a couple of months now and it seems to have used a bit of oil... Just wondered what's the best oil to use for it? As i'ts a performance engine i am assuming it would take a Fully Synthetic 5w40 oil, can anyone confirm this or correct me? It has done 98000 miles...

Right managed to buy a new battery from Unipart, cranks over nice & quick now... Put a multi meter on the battery with the engine off, 12.82v, started the engine and got 14.19v So it is charging, is that about right or do they normally charge more?

I would do but the car is 9 years old and i didn't get a manual with it, only a service book with lots of stamps :happy:

Okey doke my friend has a multi meter so will bump start it and test if it's charging. How baddly do the Halfrauds batteries fit? As there are not many places local to me that sell brand new batteries!

Can anyone help with the above? Disconnected battery now it's on 01.01.1999 Tried holding the buttons in a number of combinations and still nothing!

Ok mate i shal go down to halfrauds tomorow and get a new one! How come it always started before i took it off, then when i put it back on it doesn't even have enough power to turn the engine over though? When did it loose all that power :blink:
