The strut diameter is 55mm if I remember correctly there were very few golf mk5/A3 etc that used the 50mm. And yes they go low, the mm the manufactures quote are the recommend operating figures.

I have a set of Pro-Street coilovers which I am considering selling, they were bought new from Venon Motorsport, and used for around 7 months, covering around 7k miles. Always well maintained (greased threads etc) They are suitable for many vehicles, MK5, A3 etc, and are for the 2.0TDI, 1.9...

I may just sell them tbh, as they will only look good if the car is dropped (not a huge problem as I have a set of Eibach Pro-Street coilovers in the shed, but not sure I want the hassle of modding cars anymore!) What's a fair price? I bought them a while back, and they weren't that cheap.

Thanks for the replies. There is poke on the front, not much but visible (about 15mm out from the arch). I love poke out back, but as said poke out front reminds my of Novas on 16s sticking out a mile from the arch.

Never transplant an engine into a car, that can be bought, i.e better idea to look out for a 170TDI. I'd imagine if you did, you would inevitably incur problems, and make the car hard to sell/trade in. Personally I'd just get a remap, unless you're wanting more than 170BHP in the long run?
