If i fit a boost gauge - Will it void my warranty?

Heheh, that sounds like something bmw would try pull.. "Excuse me sir but your gearbox blowing up is not covered by warranty because your magic tree MODIFICATION added so much extra weight that the car just couldn't cope" Not like I have had bad experiance with Bmw

    Roll on the 26th

Yea I heard that but what confuses me is that AMD "claim" to have a 310bhp conversion and it does not say anywhere about bigger injectors or anything like that.

Heh was posting on here a little while ago, but managed to loose the web addy and thats me just found the site again hehe.... Managed to get that insurance I was looking for on an S3 and the car arrives in 2 days, can't wait.... I heard that the injectors for the S3 are rather petty and can...

[ QUOTE ] As long as you aren't taking hot air from under the bonnet for a silly induction kit [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Not all induction kits are like that. Take the Viper for example [/ QUOTE ] Na I don't believe the viper can be of any benifit, it just looks pretty, you pay all that extra...

    De-catted exhaust system

Hehe cheers, always good to meet people who can talk technical and debate about it without getting moody Keep the burberry away from me, get enough of that in Glasgow, especially working in Govan Yea some companies can be pretty "over-zealous" with their rr's, AVA in Glasgow area is a...

    De-catted exhaust system

Very true if you are talking about NA then 3k is a very accurate figure for the work that would be needed for "guaranteed" results. Been here for longer than 5 mins so I guess the cap don't fit anymore A rosette, would rather a blue peter badge if you have one About the whinge, fair...

    De-catted exhaust system

Heh seems to be common with 106 gti's we took my mates to GMC Motorsport, and they seriously know what they are doing with 106's and Saxo's, had about 25yrs experiance or something like that. Even they were surprised the extra power this lil thing had, they thought their machine was playing up...

Heheh I should be on commision from C&C really but I just think anyone that gets an exhaust should go to them :D They did a honda civic when I was there, and the guy went and got it dyno'd, 35bhp from an exhaust, now thats not bad at all, (before and after dyno on the same day) And like...

    Short shift gear change

O actually hope you don't mind if I throw a question in with this Collins Was wondering is the S3 quickshift fitted similarly to the one on the Seat Leon which is on the linkage under the bonnet rather than having to go in from your gear stick or up and under the heat shield. Cheers, Pete.
  13. Q

    De-catted exhaust system

Yea would actually say there is more of a chance of loosing power by removing the cat, results in loss of backpressure, and a little backpressure never hurts anyone Only reason I would really remove the cat is: 1. If you want it to flame 2. If you want it to pop and bang (mmm nice) Pete.
  14. Q

    De-catted exhaust system

Its no problem mate, more than happy to help No it will cause no problems, the light will come on but it is nothing to worry about, just a bit annoying really. Pete. :D

    Your Kill List..

Yea I mean I will admit to being a quite fast driver, in fact just got my license back 7 months ago, but they are some pretty high speeds for public roads you are talking about. Just remember if you get pulled doing those kind of speeds that can be jail time, and we wouldn't want to see that...

    De-catted exhaust system

Personal experiance with both my Bmw Mini Cooper and my mates Seat Leon Cupra and the same mates 380bhp escort cossie and 106gti It doesn't matter how good or bad your pipe is the fact of the matter is your car will be way over the legal emmisions and therefor your lambda sensor will go on...
  17. Q

    De-catted exhaust system

Yes the sensors would go onto the de-cat pipe. Your engine management light "will" go on, there is no question of this. Yes the ECU will get the signal but it will be getting the signal "oh my god look at all the [censored] flying through that exhaust" which is what will cause your management...

Do you take your car to work?

Yea I take mine to work, hense the reason I have done 30000 miles in 7 months
  19. Q

    De-catted exhaust system

De-Cat pipes "should" be really easy to fit, not to sure about the S3 one but in general if they are good it should only be a case of 4-6 bolts. But obviously if you de-cat your car your engine management light will go on because your lambda sensor (wee sensor that tells all your fueling) will...
