This is what I intend to do once I sell my other set of wheels. Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 with ET 25 and do away with spacers will make for a light setup.
Yes new standard top mounts were fitted when I had KW shocks. Changed to Cupra R top mounts for the AP coilovers. It's possible new mounts will lift the front end slightly as like you say old mounts will compress over time.
Hi Steve , that photo is with the KW setup and lowered the car probably more than the 15/20mm stated but the front did sit lower giving a good stance overall. I had the KW setup for 20k miles before switching to coilovers.
My previous S3 had the Weitec kit and the front didn't sit low enough...
Hey Steve , not sure it was the ST kit I had but I had KW sport springs/shocks before swapping to coilovers. Lowering was 15mm front and 20mm rear but did actually seem to drop it more than that.
Ended up swapping to coilovers for the flexibility, the speed bumps in my area are terrible.
Indeed , I never see Deka's getting recommended it's always the Bosch equivalent. Do you know at what power / boost levels the 630cc injectors become inadequate ??
Badger 5 sells the Bosch 550cc injectors on his site so can probably supply the 750cc version too.
Hey mate. 630cc injectors would be better if your looking at ~ 400 bhp and above. A healthy standard fuel pump and an additional inline fuel pump is advised too at big turbo power levels.
Have a read of superKarl's overhaul thread as I believe he is using the same turbo.
The AP coilovers are really good for the money, you wouldn't be disappointed going from standard suspension to AP's in terms of comfort and handling.
It seems a lot of the spring/shock kits end up lowering the rear more than the front which makes the car look odd. Obviously with coilovers this...
I've been using them for a few years and not had any issues , there a step up from a summer tyre in cold conditions. No doubt there's better tyres on the market at a higher price. Positive user reviews made me decide on the Nankangs.
