Staz, Thanks for the advice but the problem is with the handle itself as opposed to the fob. My tailgate opens fine on the key fob but there is no action from the handle which suggests its a mechanical rather than electrical fault. Damn it!!!!

Yep, definitely a fault with my tailgate handle somewhere!!! :unsure:
