thanks guys. I had already considered a map before picking her up. It just doesn't fathom that a 3.0tdi Q saloon can return better mpg on same driving style just because it had smaller boots??! (both cars manual too). Map it is then, in the near future.

fair point, but aside from the sound of the V6, there are also the reliability issues. does the 170 2.0 suffer the same oil pump problems synonymous with the 140 2.0 tdi engine range?
