    Cooling issues

Evening! I have a strange issue. I have had an issue for a while where if i undo the coolant cap when warm, the coolant boils up, rather than just releasing pressure. Only today, I noticed that on the liquid gauge and VCDS the coolant temp is rising to 110C +, but the cluster gauge is reading...

    A4 3.2 V6 Value

We bought our 2008 3.2 manual Quattro S-line back in July - very tidy example in white with 99000 miles on the clock and paid £7150. I was look for that specific spec, as wanted a V6 again, but don't like diesel, couldn't afford an S4 and wanted manual. I must admit, I dread when it comes to...

    3.2 Quattro Flywheel

The gearbox code is m6s. Which seems to be shared throughout the range.

    3.2 Quattro Flywheel

I have got the part number from TPS now 0B2105266L. My confusion comes when I search this number on eBay, it seems to cross over to a 1.8 or 2.0tfsi clutch and flywheel kit, whilst staying that it fits 3.2 also. I would be interested in solid conversion, but have the same problem there. No...

    3.2 Quattro Flywheel

Hi guys, I am hoping someone with a 3.2 can shed some light on a replacement flywheel for me. I have spoken to a few motor factors regarding a Dual Mass flywheel for our A4 (CALA). They all say that they don't have a listing for it and say they have spoken with LUK technical and LUK don't list...

    Buying 3.2 Quattro

Yes, I agree - not the fastest car in the world, but more than enough for the wifes needs... I got very excited when ours tried to tell us that on a motorway run, it was getting 42mpg at 70mph. After working it out when i filled back up, it was actually 'only' 26mpg. Much more realistic... I...

    Buying 3.2 Quattro

Thanks for the response guys, well used to the petrol station stops with the S3. Also had a 2.4 A4 years ago - loved that car, so hoping to find the same again. We were looking to get an S5 V8, but we were at the bottom end of the market (up to £10k), also the tax price angers me. An S4 would...

    Buying 3.2 Quattro

Hi guys, Looking at a 2008 3.2 manual on Friday, for the 2nd time. Basically, is there anything specific to look for on these cars? On 1st look, all looks nice and very tidy for the age. Are the chain tensioners a massive issue on these, like they seem to be on the V8s? The car has covered...

    Subframe bushes

I think this is a very common problem, and myself and my mate both have it. Really embarrassing, as it is loud, and people turn to look when it knocks. Unfortunately, we have both replaced everything possible on the front end, and he has recently had a new steering rack and subframe mount...

    Turbo eating car

I had read a lot of things saying not to engine flush an engine, especially a turbo engine, but I guess, I don't have much to loose on this one... that's the way it feels currently anyway.

    Turbo eating car

Yeah, like I said, nothing obvious from the air filter and it is mapped by Bill @ Badger5, so don't have any worries there. I have a heat shield, but only really protecting the top hose. It's the same as many people are running, so very much doubt that a problem. Thanks Stock Honda S2000 paper...

    Turbo eating car

Hi guys, As the title suggests, my car loves munching turbos. I've had it for 7 years in January, and am currently on the 4th turbo (1 being new when i bought it). They seem to be lasting around 18 months / 6-10k miles. Basically, every time it seems that something has 'blocked' the oil way in...

    LED H7 main beam bulbs

As per title, has anyone installed any of these LED H7 bulbs into their main beams? I have been looking into them, as the halogen bulbs are quite dim, compared to later technologies. These LED bulbs seem to be quite a bit larger than halogen, so, do they even fit? Would they bring on any...

    what make of discs?

As far as I am aware, Pagid come with a 25k mile, 25 month warranty. We use them at work - not had a problem reported yet. Avoid 'national' discs like the plague. I've had 3 sets warp within 18 months on different cars.

    Leaking clutch hydraulic fluid

Ah, fantastic! Thank you very much. Will be making up a piece of copper pipe tomorrow then. Thanks once again Tuffty!

    Leaking clutch hydraulic fluid

Hi guys, I discovered that my car is leaking clutch fluid from the bulk head. It is coming from the silver round thing between the pipes. Does anyone know what it's called or what it does? It can be seen in the photo below: Any help would be gratefully received. Thanks

    Turbo noises

Hi guys, I have a K718T and all the bits. Had a remap from Bill back in June, made 300bhp. I have been happy with the car - he checked for boost leaks and everything checked out ok. Since then, I have always noticed a boost leak sort of sound, but only on full boost. I have tried to trace it...

    a3/s3 doors

I am unsure as to whether or not A3 and S3 doors are the same - I have been led to believe they are not. But all S3 8L doors will fit an S3 8L car.

    check any car history......com

Nice! That makes for an interesting read for me! I had practically no history with my car when I bought it, but now I have an approximate date that my Bilstein rear shocks were fitted. It seems that the car has a totally new lease of life to what it did 8 years ago!

Audi S3 power flex bush sat correctly?

I wouldn't worry about it, mine and my mates are both the same. Both have had them fitted over a year and he fitted them the opposite way up to me, both look the same as yours. When on the ramp, they look awful, but neither have any play whatsoever. Must admit, we questioned each other on it...
