The pads 100% correct size etc? I’ve seen before a couples mms different and when you hit the brakes the first time they move slightly and that’s a similar noise to why you describe.
From what I’ve read that’s hit and miss, when they say the actuator is ‘coded’ I believe it’s just the limits set up on it specific to your turbo.. so if you buy a new actuator by it’s self and stick it on your turbo and those limits are within what your turbo are then your good. If it’s not and...
I have the same on mine, if you keep it under 2k rpm then it’s usually ok.. The actuator needs to be coded to the turbo and the cheapest I’ve seen it is £360 and you send your turbo away and they do it all for you. You can also pay a bit more, I think £400 at last check on eBay and you send them...
So just to keep this thread updated, i fixed 2 fault codes and crated 1 more! The out of range codes are now gone thanks to those brackets however the turbo code still exists after replacing the MAP sensor :( The more i think about it the more its making sense to me thought, if you look at the...
Hey sorry didn’t reply sooner had a super busy week!
I’m not intending ok going hell for leather on anything, just the bits I’ve seen that have a visible build up carbon and I’m just looking to run a wire brush etc over it..
On a slightly different note, and a bit of a plot twist, I got the...
Haha no didn’t start the car, I’ve got some of the intake system off looking for the MAP sensor and seeing inside them I’m going to give them a clean before they go back on and plugged in etc! Hopefully get everything back together and started this weekend..
You and me both! I just want it all...
Yes that’s exactly it mate, good work! But yeah as you say no mention of any of that on any diagrams relating to the ASN engine.. I’m sure the standard T piece I’ve ordered will do the job, probably not the exact same length of pipes but that shouldn’t matter.. I’ll need to get some circlips too...
So TPS couldn’t get anything from ETKA either, the guy thinks the T piece might be integrated in to a pipe and so won’t show. He’s ordered a T that he thinks should work and will get it tomorrow so hopefully that will do the trick!
Yes that’s exactly where it is, top right of that purple box.. I’m sure I a normal T would work but I’d still like to double check to make absolute sure it will work correctly..
Just a general pic mate, I’ll get a better photo tomorrow if I can. I may also nip in past TPS on my lunch and see if they can find the bit I’m after [emoji1303] Thanks for the help thus far!
Not an equal bud, right hand side (leaving from the middle square bit is long, but the left hand side is small and has the bulge bit on it almost straight away. I'm assuming the pipe coming from the bottom is about the same length with the same bulge bit as the right hand side one.
It's neither of them either :( The T piece has 2 thick diameter pipes on the straight and then a thin one coming off the bottom, the one from my car is same diameter in every direction. The Y piece (aside from being the wrong shape) looks to be the opposite, small diameter on the downwards pipe...
what section did you look at to get that Rob? It's not that exact bit, the bottom (the bit i snapped, and looks like the top in the photo i put up) goes down on to a very small silicone hose then attaches to a metal pipe with a spring clip
