That's interesting - a work colleague of mine runs a LPG'd 2006 Skoda Octavia VRs with the VAG 2.0TFSI engine for 40k miles without any issues about melting something!;)

Have read various threads about the various benefits of the 2.0TFSI v 2.0TDI v 3.2V6 with interest. I run a 2004 3.2 V6 Sport S-Line with DSG its so creamily smoothly rapid and understated it suits me down to the ground. PLUS it costs 10p per mile to run - on LPG! No detectable difference...
