Something very similar happened to my B6 1.8t quattro, it turned out to be a very small CCV valve situated under the inlet manifold that had failed and was letting in air, hope this helps

what happens when you gently throttle it over 3.5krpm to 4.5krpm then shove ya foot down? I would look at the actuator in a little more detail

N75 valve?? ive had something similar, changed it for a superseded part and all was good, only cost me £41 and will not show any faults mine was boosting, dropping off every 5-700 rpm or so, ( on a re-mapped AUQ 180)

Now then...... had exact same issue, try looking at the breather valve under the inlet manifold, if its passing its pulling unmetered air direct into the inlet manifold, thus a lump idle mine was sorted straight away with this, bout £8 from the dealers so very cheap fix let me know how ya get on

Well... Good news the n75 was the faulty part.. All is now good

right mate type this number into the Ebay search bar: 181283642031 its from Swindon motor park, but a new genuine, check the part numbers on your n75 its should be the old number, for the sake of £41 its worth a try

yes mate its a genuine original its just been dispatched on ebay so will hopefully get it tomora or early next week, I will post the link, the part has been superseded twice, im on the 'F' type valve now and the new one coming is an 'E', with the above part number, I replaced the OE dump...
