I don't know, but I would imagine the rears will need different hubs because the S3 is 4WD and will have a different rear axle to a 2WD A3.

Coldsteel, my car is making almost the same nosie, but it has only just started and only makes it when the engine & weather are hot. I.e. drive down to the shops on a hot day - no problem. Drive around the New Forest for 2 hrs in 25C+ and it exhibited exactly the same symptoms as you describe...

Similar thing happened on mine a couple of weeks ago. Clock skipped forward 20 mins or so... Easily solved but frustrating!

Apple have changed the charging pins, they swapped to new ones ages ago, but the latest range of iPods do not support the original ones any more. Same problem with my iphone 3G with my Sony in the Golf, but my old Ipod nano was fine. Known problem I'm afraid...

Interesting, but surely the source of the smoke would be in the ignition switch rather than coming through the steering wheel buttons after driving for 30 mins?

I find you can feel it if you were to "rest" your foot on the clutch pedal, effectively taking up the 5mm or so of slack travel at the top. You can then feel a little vibration from the engine.

Is this a common thing, because I can feel a little vibration through mine... only done 34k?
