Snow chains with S-Line lowered suspension

You will need the 12mm links used on the klack and Go range. These were still a tight fit. Its the top links you need to watch.. I bought snow tyres and fitted to a spare set of rims, never needed to use chains since this setup, even in the best snowfall in France for years earlier in March...

This is driving me MAD can anyone help?

If the intercooler goes on a 2.0 TDi 4F you can always easily tell by shining a bright torch right down at the rear of the nearside headlamp. Look for any cracks along the ally strip running along the base of the intercooler. These very often crack allowing the air pressure to escape from the...

This is driving me MAD can anyone help?

Hi, this sounds like a problem with your EGR valve. It can stick allowing too much exhaust gas back into the inlet manifold. It won't always show as a fault in the ecu. As it gets worse, you will have difficulty starting along with your other problems. Ask them to check the specified vers...

boost, lights and funny noises :D

Sounds like you have a boost OR vac system leak. The ecu is going into limp mode. Fit a Mityvac gauge to a vac pipe to see if its holding ok, could also be a dead divert valve, the diapragm could be split. Remove hose from valve and fit Mityvac to the valve. If you cant generate a vacuum, it is...

    ABS control Units

Lost comms will be a fault within the ABS ECU. Open it up and solder a jump wire where the tiny link from pin to board has broken. If you don't want to do this either buy a new one or send it for repair. The brake circuit F on someones log means the contact for pins 2 and 3 in the switch are...

    54 plate A6 2.4 V6 - Squeeking parking brake

The only lube you use is on the edge of the pad backplate, Never ever spray WD around your brakes. You need to have a mechanic look at your brakes as this is not normal. You may just have a stone stuck between the backplate and the disc as its a horrible screech. Normal brake wear wont do this...
