    Hesitation

I have just started to notice a slight hesitation/cough when coming on boost in the higher gears. If I'm sitting at about 2k RPM in 4th or 5th and floor the throttle there is a little cough/slight hesitation just as its coming on boost. Its the only time I notice it and its now getting on my...

    Can't jump

Trying to jump start my S3 but I can't get the jump lead clip attached to the positive terminal on the battery, its just too tight in there to get it attached. Also where should I attach the negative clip, I'm looking for somewhere on the chassis as suggested, but can't see anywhere obvious...

    Refresh

Thanks Guys, what I should have mentioned of course is that it has been chipped (many years back) and is still performing well. I was thinking about other mechanical bits, as jojo mentioned, shockers could need doing but what about any other components? Do hoses perish over time?, bushes, ball...

    Refresh

My wife inherited my S3 about 5 years ago, its now 10 years old but has covered less than 80k miles and she has every intention of keeping it a good while longer. It has been regularly and properly maintained/serviced but I was wondering what would you guys do in order to freshen her up and get...

    Kuhmo Ecsta

I agree they are fine in the dry but terrible in the wet. If your not in a straight line when the boost comes on it very easily over powers the tyres and squirms like hell. I've given them 2k miles to see if they got better when scrubbed in but they are coming off on Monday, just can't trust...

    Jamex

Has anyone got any experiences or knowledge of Jamex suspension? Now I'm well aware that you only get what you pay for with these things and the set I have seen are cheap (eBay item: 230326839176), however they may be suitable replacements for my OEM dampers which are on the way out. I had...

    Rattle, clink, rattle, clink

Thanks, at least I can try and point the garage in the right direction now. I know its not the springs as during a recent MOT it was pointed out one had snapped. I ended up getting both rear springs relpaced under warranty (Eibach) :applaus:

    Rattle, clink, rattle, clink

Very annoying and very vague but here goes. I have a metallic sounding rattle/clinking noise coming from the back of my car. I have checked the obvious stuff, removed the parcel shelf, removed the spare wheel, dropped the back seats etc. and had a look underneath (as best I can with no ramps)...

    S3 8P Gearknob Conversion

Yeah, thats what I thought but the gaitor is so tight it wont actually fit round the original frame piece. I even tried cutting away at the bottom of the stiching for some extra slack but still too tight - must be doing something wrong I guess :keule:

    S3 8P Gearknob Conversion

I presume these must fit OK then? I recently bought an 8L facelift knob for my pre-facelift 8L S3 and the frame at the bottom of the gaitor is actually smaller than the original so it does'nt fit right - very annoying!!
