As I said, if the service schedule says that to refill after draining it will require 6.9 litres and 6.9 litres is invoiced that's what should be provided. Regardless of how you extract the oil.

No not really. I've never heard of a case where there has been a problem, it's a proper professional tool.
I guess if you broke something then you'd be liable - Just don't break anything!!
The only way to get the tool is to buy from an authorised reseller. VCDS Lite doesn't work on later cars, only on so called 'dumb interfaces'.
If you don't want the expense then why not look for someone nearby who will do it for you.
Fitted my own towbar. Bought OEM (Westfalia) from PF Jones for about £300. The Lower section of the bumper is replaceable but if you buy a removable Westfalia bar you hardly need to cut it.
