So they have confirmed it's coming from the thermostat (as expected) they are liasing with my warranty company..hopefully they will pay out on it. If not, has anyone had this fixed out of warranty with audi?

have a warranty through a 3rd party....Audi have spoken with them directly but I've to pay the investigation costs :(

Joining the club....2015 8V with 38k on it. Have had to top coolant up twice over the last year, so asked them to take a look when it was in for DSG oil change last week....pics from Audi cam attached, where leak is coming from, looks as though it could be stat housing, and also coolant on sump...

i see....you've maybe just got a stone or something lodged inbetween the pad and the disc....if you take the pads out and rub them against a course surface...ie a wall or something, that should take ne sh*t off them!

hmmmmm, a squeaking noise......u sure its not a shock???? if you open your boot lid and push down on the bumper and let go - sort of "bouncing" the car....can you hear it??

was talking to one of the mechanics in work today....he says it wud almost definately be the pads - he reccomended ether buying new ones or putting copper grease on the top and bottom of them!! let us know how u get on with the new pads! is the rubber bit on the back of the pads not for the wear...

yeh, exactly what im getting....i think its the pads knocking.....but if you find out you can let me know....the fact that it disappears with the handbrake on 1 click would make it look that way....

does it only happen if you are going over a bumpy road.....and cant really be heard inside the car unless yu've got the radio off and the window down?? If so I have the same issue. I've had a mechanic in work look at it and he thinks its the rear pads hitting off the disc...would that sound...

Having some starting issues......when i start the car from cold, it sometimes doesnt turn over, or if it eventually does it doesnt completely and cuts out, but as soon as i restart it it starts fine, or if i've only left the car for 30 mins or so there's no probs starting it.....any thoughts???

yeh, its a buckled wheel, take the wheel off and look on round the inside of it, it'll have a few "flat spots" therefore its not round and will not be a smooth ride.....if you can remember going through a big pot hole, take a pic of it and fill out a claim form - send it to your local road...
