thing is it had a new fan unit last month as it was wearing the battery down apparently. The fan was not going while the car is turned off. it only started after I changed the battery and started the car. Surely if it was wearing the battery down it would need to be doing it when the engine is...

no actually i am not sure. its the one nearest the battery. the aircon was not on if it makes any difference
