    60-100 mph

As highlighted before the gearing is the biggest limiting factor, hence why on my bike it only takes 3 seconds (5.1 to 100 from stand) but it does it in second :-)

Return to an S3!!! help talk some sense into me!!

Depends on the reason you changed? Was it economy? If not then get a used S3 and see what the new A3's bring might be some nippy but efficient ones giving you the best of both worlds

    Opinions needed - Wrap or Re-spray ????

I think wrapping is great if your going for a wacky colour that you think potentially could hamper re-sale. But in this scenario where there is damage I think a spray would be much better, everyone has a mate who owns a spray shop ask around and might get it done for same as the wrap ;-)

    Help!! Losing Traction

If it was very light rain then the diesel would be right at the surface and you would lose traction. Also a big killer for motorbikes!

PD140 or CR140 engine. How do I know which I have?

04 will be a PD engine. CR (Common Rail) Engines came in around 2009 I think (may be a bit off) they are a nicer engine.... quieter, more efficient etc but not that much wrong with the PD's apart from cold startup.

    DSG Vs Manual

I seem to buck the trend, I'd rather get gonorrhoea than a DSG box, mum has had them on her last 3 cars (2x TT 1x A1) whenever I drive them for a week when the rents take my a5 for longer journeys I will only drive as little as possible with the auto. I like to be able to use engine braking...

    Creaky centre console...

Before the silicone spray I cured this in my s3 when I had it with a simple solution. Obviously switch the car off, put your finger into the cigarette lighter and pull it towards the handbrake. You will feel it move very slightly, squeeze the side and if it's the same problem I had it will...

    Audi 264G ECU Update

Audi uk 264G ecu update - A5_OC Just a little heads up of an "urgent" ECU update for the 3.0 TDi Only released on the 1st of April, gives a little boost in performance aswell as letting the fan run after you switch off after a long run. Also makes the temp on the gauge sit slightly...

Has anyone had a rev limit warning - don't rev over 4000rpm

What engine is this? I wouldn't want to take most diesels over 4k revs as most of the torque has gone. Is it brand new? Might be putting inbuilt warnings about the running in procedure?

A3 2.0TDI Sport MPG - What do you average?

Your MPG will improve the warmer it gets. In my old 2005 2.0TDi I got 60.2 doing sensible speeds going to the NEC from Blackpool. This was when it was mapped though, before that I could never get much more than 55, bring on the warmer weather and watch the MPG go through the roof! No such...

Changed my car! Don't hate me!

s5 is such a lovely car! But petrol is rocketing and the diesel remapped is pretty much as quick and there isn't much you can do to the s5 but damn do they sound amazing! The RS5 even more so. Just to let you know I think the lights have now sold, I have kept the PM's incase deal falls...

Changed my car! Don't hate me!

I got 44.1 on DIS in some very very windy conditions doing a steady 74 on cruise and a sprint start at toll road haha! Most amazing thing is the quietness of this car, having done the trip in the s3 and then swapping to this it was like two different worlds. One thing I will say is make sure...

Changed my car! Don't hate me!

I too was concerned about not having a handbrake! But the fact that it switches off as soon as you set off in gear it goes off! I was thinking you had to press it off every time! Been out again today and cannot believe how refined it is, might have to get the miltek system for a totally none...

Changed my car! Don't hate me!

Yeah picked it up from Docklands, was a nice part of the world! Thanks for all the responses, one reason I didn't go auto is because only the late 2010 models are s-tronic, up to that point they have been the older tip box. I love manual boxes though so it's not a hardship to me. But my mums...

Changed my car! Don't hate me!

Well my dad decided because he's not using his car much these days that me and him could share, while there was some value in our cars we traded them in for one newer car and it is stunning. It's A Nov 2008 a5 3.0TDi Quattro Sport (cr), 13k miles, cruise, xenons, LED DRL, Nav, parking sensors...

    Air blower increases power automatically?

As said above it waits till temp shows about 70. If you don't touch it then it tends to stay where it is, I like it just on two bars. So when the screen needs clearing I just use that dedicated button cos once you depress that it goes back to just the way you like it :-)

    Quattro & Snow....Opinions??

I find the s3 great fun in the snow, traction control is better switched off to get going though and then put it back on if you don't like the tail happy moments from then on. Personally I think it makes it really responsive. Key to snow is just be smooth in everything you do and watch out for...

    Need a little info....

People are still buying A3's and there are still long lead times for your own spec models, why overly change something that sells well? Just ask Porsche!
