I couldn't find much on this subject so took some pictures.
Other post I found suggested removing the fans and the under tray but it is not really necessary.
I have a bad leak and it is coming from this area so I'm hoping that this may be the problem, but I'm really not that hopeful. I'll take...
I've noticed that my cabin fan is not as powerful as it used to be, except when I select reverse, you can then hear it blow properly.
Anyone come across this or a fix?
Problem solved with the new hub. You can see that the old magnetic strip on the old hub was starting to disintegrate causing the erratic speed readings.
Changing the old hub was pretty easy with the M18 spline bit a long breaker bar and a pipe extension, it needed a bout 5 feet and all my...
I had a look at the wheel speeds with vcds tonight, wish I had done this before buying a new sensor.
The first trace is with me driving the yellow trace is the one with the implausible signal, comms crashed after a few seconds of driving so the trace is not very long.
I thought it may...
Checked the sensor, 600ohms in a cup of hot water amd 10kohms under the cold tap, so the sensor is OK, has anyone else changes a fuse to fix this like recommended by Ross Tech? If there isn't a fuse the it must be a wire break somewhere pretty inaccessible.
I also have an intermittent abs/track light coming on, VCDS pointed to a problem with the right rear sensor, changed that and the problem remained, I just bought a new hub in the hope that it solves the problem.
I have this fault and it is pretty persistent, I put in a new sender, the fault stayed, I soldered on an new connector and the fault stayed.
I just saw that Ross Tech say check the fuse, anyone know which fuse to check?
From Ross Tech.

Been out the country a couple of days so just goyt to your pm. What you say is right, if I got half a day on a car I could probably overcome the multigauge issue, but its no big deal to most folks as the main oil gauge works fine.
If I remember there was no coolant or air temp but I cant remember for sure, there was also something odd about speed and rpm.
Boost was missing but there is an option to get that from the MAF.
Do you know what the label names are for those engine codes?
Sorry its taken a bit of time to get to this. I've made a table showing which vag blocks and data are required for each feature to work.
It looks like they are either missing or in a different place on the various A4 engine codes, if they are in a different place it will be an easy fix to make...
The chances are that we will just do some data logging and investigation tonight on baud rates and timing to find out why it didn't work on Friday, then we will do some new code updates and can remeet later in the week for a proper try out.
