Hello all,
Thought I'd better reintroduce myself after a few years away from Audi ownership. I was previously registered on here when I had a B6 A4 but then had a silly few years when I headed to the dark side and had a couple big BMWs to ferry the kids about.
Here's the old girl:
Anyway...
Thanks for the comments guys. I'm really pleased with the new wheels on the car and how well it sits on the 19s. The steering feels slightly lighter at low speeds but i can honestly say the ride is much better than i thought it would be going from 17s to 19s.
The LMs are reps by the way. Very...
Just realised I haven't posted any pictures in this thread so far... I bought a new set of rims for the summer coming in: 19" BBS LMs. 19x8.5 ET35 so they sit perfectly to the edge of the arches
And one that just make me smile because the car is 5 years old and still looks mint:
Look awesome Bub, exactly what i'd like mine to be like shortly.
What diameter are your exhaust tips? I'm getting mine done soon and some i've seen are just too big - yours look spot on :icon_thumright:
What do you mean? The bit that wraps around from the dash where it says QUATTRO?
If so try this:

I'll be taking mine off soon for a spray too - I've got some slight wee scratches that do my head in when the light hits them in just the right...
Don't get me wrong, I like the car, the whole things works well. That kit suits it and is certainly different from all the other cabs you see. I really am impressed with the wheels though, much better than I'd have imagined.
As above, not a fan of the kit but impressed with the wheels. I've seen too many Mk4 Golfs with them and had discounted them for my car but they really suit that cab! :icon_thumright:
Sorry to revive an old thread but have you had any luck with this? Mine does it too and it's the only squeek in the entire car.
I wrapped the locating lugs with lecky tape to see if it was them but to no avail.
I'm intrigued as to what you mean here jase...what exactly did you re-rivet?
I...
Yup, had this happen to me about two weeks ago the very same syptoms but it wasn't the impellor vanes that had snapped off but actually the rotor itself. I thought it was gonna be a sensor or at the very most the thermostatic valve but there you go.
I got mine fixed on warranty though and get...
Have you tried claying the affected areas? I would try claying and then putting a really durable wax like Collinite 476s on the front to protect. That's what I have on my A4 and the bugs come off with just a quick wipe with the mitt after foaming :icon_thumright:
As for tyre...
^^^ I did the W8 light on my Ibiza when i had it. Dead easy - just a wee bit of soldering and heat-shrinking. I took the feed from the instrument binacle dimmer and ran it up the headlining. The part from VAGparts was perfect (although i had the non-sunroof one) and it just popped right in. 20...
Still North though eh? :) Loch Lomond wasn't my final destination mind...just passed on the way to Fort William, is that 'up north' enough?? lol
Don't for a minute think i'm one of those Weegies who haven't been past Clydebank!! I'm on 53 countries and counting!
Ah! :tocktock: Got the wrong end of the stick there! One was taken at Rest And Be Thankful - just past Loch Lomond, the other on the way to Oban. There really are fantastic drives just a wee bit outside Glasgow.

Try Meguirs Plast-X. You can even get it from Halfrauds. I've used it on headlight plastic before and after two or three hits by hand the results have been excellent. Also a much safer method than wetsanding.
Hey guys,
Thought i'd say hello on a new forum as i've just got my B6 A4 1.8T Avant. It's my first Audi although i've driven plenty as my old man has had his fair share. He's a pic or two from the other day up north:
And tucked up for the night:
I've always liked the Avants more than the...
