Hello all,
Im looking to get a vag com lead to use on my 1998 A3 1.8T. I am looking to simple read fault codes etc an i don't think i need the full functionality at this stage (however i might upgrade at a later date).
Does anyone have any recomendations of where to get the leads? If...
No AIR here!
Thats my daily ride height on coil overs, the ride is OK given the amount it's lowered and i have never found any where where i can't get down or go yet (even my girl friends farm track poses no issues)
But i did have a mk2 golf with a vr6 (very low sump) before so i guess i...
A few pics of mine with black audi RS4's on. They were originally the same colour as the car but i felt it was a little too much grey so changed the.

I have a contact that can re-code the replacement set of clocks in and correct the milage for you. He has done a set for me and everything works perfectly.
Another bonus is that he isn't too far from Yorkshire - drop me a OM if you want his contact details. I believe he will also travel...
Hello,
IM fairly new to Audi ownership and specifically using a laptop to diagnose problems with my car. Im an old school VW man at heart and they didn't need fancy computers just good old fashioned spanners
Im looking to buy a VAG COM lead to run the free version of the Ross tech web...
I have had a good look through the pics posting above and there are lots of nice wheels but most are 18 or 19's and are 8j wide
I have moved into Audi's after having VW's for a few years so i guess its more of a VW thing??
If most people on here are running quatro i guess they use the...
Hi,
One of my first posts on the forum. I have got an A3 1.8T sport which current;y has a set of 18 inch RS4 reps on it which are 8J wide.
Im thinking of moving down to a 17 inch wheel and increasing the width (maybe 9J) - does anyone have any pics of A3/S3's on wide 17's or 18's...
The DIS works to a degree and often when it feels like it.
Some days its 100% and others nothing, others it keeps flashing on and off constantly which is very anoying.
Also some of the warning lights do not work on the clocks - i think this is due to the previous owner removing/damaging...
Hi,
I need a new set of clocks for my 1998 Audi A3 1.8T due to the DIS being broken.
I can source a set second hand easily enough but i am trying to find out how easy it is to re-code the clocks to the cars imobliser and key (if its's even possible)
Has anyone had a replacement set...
Hi,
im fairly new to the forum but have been heavily into VW and VAG for a few years.
I have recently got rid of my VR6 engine converted mk2 golf and got an Audi A3 1.8T
The audi is a great car but it needs a bit more poke, as you can imagine a stripped out old golf with a 200bhp V6 in...
Hi im new to A3 ownership so please excuse the dumb questions!
I need to remove the instrument cluster in my 1998 1.8T A3 - does any one know how these come out?
Also does anyone know if the early cars run individual bulbs for warning lights etc? As i think the previous owner has removed...
Great that was the answer i was looking for - im hoping its a sensor that is the problem.
However am i correct in thinking if a sensor was faulty or gunked up that it would cause the ABS light to stay on??
Would it also cause the ABS system to not work under niormal driving...
thats exactly what my ABS system does - applies it when you first pull away. Did you find a solution???
Also im thinking the clocks maybe a loose connection etc as the display comes on and off depending on what it feels like.
Would people recomend running the car on VAG COM to check the...
Firstly Hello im new, i have been into VW's for ages and have now made the move to an Audi A3 1.8T.
I picked the car up at the weekend and have a couple of faults.
My car is a 1998 1.8T
