Mine experinced the same - an 8P2, i took it back to the dealers and posted on here about it. Dealers said nothing to worry about and couldn't find a problem.... it strangely disappeared after a while and never came back in the 4 years of ownership.
If itâs in the manual with no guidelines regarding how many times it should be used and you have it within warranty then Iâd ****** use it without conciseness regardless.
Depends on your own circumstances but i wouldn't give a toss.
Thatâs a good result. I kept mine standard but could write 2 full A4 worth of issues with the S3 Haldex system i had. It culminated in the car being out of warranty with another issue but i contacted Audi UK who thankfully saw that i never took the car out of their system and again being out...
I had a standard car (S3) and experienced spluttering which eventually manifested in misfiring. I swapped the coil packs around myself and changed the fuel filter before handing it back to the dealer. It ended up being the spark plugs..! Thankfully covered by warranty as the car had a major...
Never came across this on mine after 4 years of ownership. Keep the servicing up to standard and treat the puppy well and you may not have this issue. You'll always hear of problems with cars but remember that car forums inevitably report defects but that is a vast minority to the good cars out...
Noise disappeared after the Diff replacement and i had two in the finish! I had a lemon, but i found it prone to tyres, the pressures and also the rotation of the propshaft.
Sorry to hear about his, i had problems with my diff for over 3 years of S3 ownership. Some things to note are its very sensitive to tyre pressure differences between the axels, this can cause winning. Also the rear propshaft can cause winining but most important is to get the Haldex service...
Iâve had a few problems in that area and a diff replacement on my S3. Your price of £1200 is VERY reasonable; mine was replaced by Audi for £2.5K and persisted till the day i sold it. What i would say is the Haldex service needs doing every 40K miles so regardless you should get it in. I have...
Magic..!!
I guess like anything with wax, it creates less friction, in this case between the window glass and the rubber liner. I noticed it after washing the car, noticeably squelches in the window area and if you dropped the windows slightly the noise disappeared. I read moons ago that the...
Good price but make sure it has had 40K Haldex service and bear in mind a one due at 80K and the Cambelt + Water Pump at 5 years. Also would need brake fluid at 40K + Aircon service. If so, then not a bad price.
Had this on mine and bought some black crayons to rub against the rubber window seals, works a treat and only had to 'touch them up' every year or so, very cheap and effective.
You have to do what you feel comfortable with and its about risk. Plainly you have to be prepared to foot the bill if it goes tit's up, quite simply. I never did map mine and sometimes i wish i did but i knew my car very well after 4 years and it felt fragile with the issues i had so never did...
Just sold the S3 for an Evoque but over the 4 years of ownership paid average of £400 with Swiftcover, 35 yr old male with no points and 9K miles per yr cover protected NC.
Never mind the body work its how it looks mechanically. As long as the service history is up to date and nothing has been missed then it should be good and remeber there are lots of these models out there and don't be put off by travelling to get the one you want, we live in a small country -...
