OK, so update , apparently a front driveshaft had failed ,but why would the diffs not lock and still give drive to the other wheels ? I thought that was whole point of the quattro system

Its a 2011 2.0 Tdi Avant quattro with a 6 speed manual gearbox and it seems to have lost all drive, at first he thought the clutch
had failed , but looking at it today the pedal feels fine and as you lift it you can kind...
It's a strange one , Ive bought a UV torch to check for any leaks and Ive removed the glovebox to check all the flap motors are working which they seem to be , pollen filter is clean and ive bought a can of gas to give it a boost , if the gas fixes it then clearly there's a leak somewhere ...
Ok so I have VCDS and ran all the diagnostic output checks ....the only one I saw that showed any kind of preasure read 7 psi but i don't know where I should be looking

No Idea at all oil level was and still is perfect and no pressure warning lights, cambelt was done around 20,000 miles ago by myself and oil was done roughly every 15,000 miles ..... it literally went from running perfect to dead in a 100 miles ....i thought it sounded a little top endy last...
Ive stripped it down today,,, initial thoughts were the timing belt may have slipped a touch as I was looking at this in the log "Synchronous angle: -7.05 °" however all the locking gear still fits at TDC .... whilst i was turning it over to get TDC I could hear noises from within the Camshaft...

When you say rebuilding the suspension, are we talking just the control arms and links etc or springs and gas struts ? I did control arms and links on mine and used the Meyle HD and it was an excellent bit of kit as I'm sure the Lemforder is but I just couldn't justify the extra price

How often do people see their cars regen and how do you know ?? I've had mine 3 years now and the only time ive seen the regen light on the dash is when I forced it via VCDS .. I do mainly only do motrorway journeys though which im guessing makes a difference, still find it odd ive never seen...
I don't understand why having a sticky caliper would stop you having your wheel balanced ??? or why balancing your wheels would fix a rattle ?? or why a sticky caliper would cause a rattle ??? can you elaborate more on the rattle ? perhaps ive missed another thread
Just for info and I know it doesn't help your cause, but I did my Rear brakes today and taking rum4mo's advice decided to check and record the colours on the springs of mine 2.0 Tdi Avant quattro Sline Special Edition, so these will be sport springs.
